“I wish I could have opted out of this show,” Galen muttered grumpily while he waited for Neal to get his opening act costume to try on. “I’m with Scrooge on this one. Bah humbug.”
Neal overheard him and lifted an eyebrow. “Not a big fan of Christmas I take it.”
“Never have been. It’s a way for stores to get people to spend money they can’t afford on things they don’t really need.” He put on the coat Neal handed him.
“If you feel that way, why did you try out for the role, or the show, in the first place?”
“I had no choice in the matter. I’m contractually obligated to be in any show where they need me, just like everyone else.” He smiled evilly. “I went after Scrooge to show up Ricky.”
“Oh boy.” Neal walked around Galen, checking to make certain the coat fit properly.
