Chapter 5Saturday night Reggie kept watch from his seat at the end of the bar. He could see the whole club from where he was sitting. Officer Compton from the Asbury Park Police Department was with the bouncer checking the front door, and security stood at all of the exits. The club was wall-to-wall people. There were people waiting outside in line hoping someone else left so that they could take their place. At every bar in the place, men were lined up six and seven deep.
