Chapter 9: A Threat

Stephanie's POV

"What? Felix did that". I've always had a bad feeling about that girl. She will be the first girl Felix would make love to on our matrimonial bed. I know he is a flirt, a playboy and I don't care as far as he does it outside but this girl? She isn't up to my standard, in beauty, wealth and being classy. He brought in a wayward girl and slept with her on our matrimonial bed. And the least he could tell me was he couldn't control himself.

"Are you sure?" I asked again from the maid I assigned to watch any advances happening around the house.

"Yes, Your Highness. He requested hot bottled water and he requested an aspirin. He took it all to her room and spent some time there. I scoffed. Who does she think she is? Is she possibly a threat? Felix uses and dumps girls. After using them, he doesn't keep them but why she? He even hired her as his Personal Assistant. Felix likes me. After realizing I was angry, wasn't he supposed to cut off any relationship he has with her as he always does?. Felix can't be picking interests in her.

"You can leave". She bowed and excused herself. Who is she? I have to run an investigation on her? She can't possibly be a threat. I picked up my phone and made a call.

"Maxwell, let's meet."

"I'm busy right now. "

"Busy? There is a pressing matter at hand. An issue. Let's meet at our usual spot". I said and hung up.

I stood up and picked my car keys. I entered my car and zoomed off.

"Maxwell." I called and dropped my bag on the couch.

"Babe, I am here". He called out and came out of the kitchen. He came closer and kissed me. This house was a hideout to our secret affair. Maxwell and I have been dating for years now.

"What's wrong? You sound so worried". I smiled and took a seat. I love him so much that I can lay my life down for him.

"Baby, I have a bad feeling about her".

"Who? Mary! You already told me about that and I told you there's nothing to worry about. I've met her and noticed she isn't the smart one. She can't be a hindrance. She is too low for Felix's class".

"Yea, that's it but I am baffled he slept with her on our matrimonial bed, which he has never done before".

"Maybe he was so horny". He said unconcerned. He took a seat beside me " Stop worrying yourself over such matters, Your Highness". I laughed at his remark.

"Maxwell, stop it. Am serious. The maid told me he requested for aspirin and spent some time in her room before leaving".

"They may be talking about business. Stop talking about them. Or are you jealous?" He said.

"No, I am not. I just don't want her to be a threat to our plan". He carried me up and walked on the stairs, "What are you doing?".

"I need you now. Am horny". I smiled and took his lips into mine and kissed him.

"I don't think I will have the time for that. I have somewhere to go". I said after pulling out from the kiss. We entered the room and he dropped me on the bed.

"Wait…" I said but he pounced on me already pulling off my clothes.

He pulled out after going on for about one hour. He wanted to keep going but I had to stop him. I stood up and went inside the bathroom to take care of myself. He always talks about not getting enough of me. But I have to get somewhere.

"Am free next tomorrow and I promise you I will spend a lot of time with you". I said and gave him a peck before exiting the house in a hurry.

I drove to Felix's Company to have a talk with him. He has to tell me what that girl is still doing here? I got down from my car and walked through the reception. Workers bowed down at me and I nodded in reply. This is what I desired, Fame, Respect and Wealth. But this is not enough. Being a Princess is not enough. I want to become a Queen with the love of my life ruling beside me. Felix is just a pawn, a path to honor.

I approached a big white glass door with the Prince Felix inscribed on it. Isn't it automatic? Why isn't it opening? Unless it's locked from the inside. But why?

I dipped my hand in my bag and brought out a card. The card can grant me entrance into the office. I flashed it and the door opened immediately.

I stepped into the office but the sight I saw in front of me shocked me. I looked at Felix then at Mary. I'm here to talk to Felix about sending her away and I met this. They both looked at me shocked. I caught them kissing and snuggling. I don't care to know who started it but…. I went closer to Mary and landed two slaps on her cheeks. She stood petrified and shocked. She looked down embarrassed and rushed out of the office. Felix looked at me and tried rushing after Mary.

"Don't you dare Felix, how could you? This low life b***h? If it had been some other person I wouldn't have been bothered because that's who you are but her! She isn't even up to my standard! " I screamed at him. I can't believe this.

"Listen Stephanie…" I rushed out not caring to listen to his words. I walked out of the company and rushed into my car. Does Felix feel attracted to her or what? What's wrong with him? Isn't he supposed to have gotten a new catch? She is definitely a threat. I thought and drove out of the company.
