Chapter 1

Kristina's POV I was in my private jet traveling to Paris in order to c***k the deal I had been waiting forever since I started my company.  I still remember Starting a company was really difficult for me as neither did I have the finances nor did I have the required experience all I had was a degree in fashion designing from one of the most recognized colleges in London. I guess that was indeed what I needed. Talent does payback.  "Ma'am we will be landing in five minutes you are requested to please put your seat belt" the flight attendant announced. I followed his instructions and put on my seat belt. Well, I really hope time passes faster. I couldn't wait to finally be there.  An hour later I was finally sitting in the conference room of Woozia the company I wanted to deal with for quite some time now.  "Now you can start with your presentation Miss Adams," said Mr. Mullick the decision-making head of the company. After an hour of explanation, we had finally come to the decision-making time. All the board members were willing to let my company help them with the fabric they needed as well as the models they would require to walk the ramp but Mr. Mullick did not seem convinced with the idea at all. And, as if confirming my fears, he finally spoke. " I am convinced that you would be able to satisfy our demands but the company policy does not allow us to hire your company as our supplier as you are not married. We are looking for committed people, and that means both relationships and work. We at Woozia firmly believe that the maturity of a person is determined by his power to commit." de declared with pure conviction.  Wait, what?  Did I hear it right? Obviously not. Which stupid company could make such a rule? I am sure Mr. Mullick wanted to play games with all the blame on the company policy. I have heard his brother being in a fabric business and Mr. Mullick maybe wants him to supply the fabric But I was not the one who would allow my dreams to be shattered by such a person.  After a few seconds of thinking, I finally said: " well if that's the reason you won't accept my company then I guess you don't have to worry because I am engaged and am soon going to marry." That was it, I saw colors fading from his face and that surely gave me a lot of satisfaction. But he seemed really smart. I guess he is determined too but not as determined as me. He said, "fine Miss Adams we are really happy to know about your engagement but if you need our order you have to get married soon because without it we can't accept your company as our supplier and neither do we have a lot of time to wait for your marriage. so, it’s better if you leave as you won't be able to cater to our demands." This made me really angry but this was not the right place to show it so I decided to keep calm and asked "how long do you suppose to be open to other companies? " " for three days .... wait .... are you planning to get married in three days?" said one of the board members. I gave a grin and said "you just read my mind "and that was it. Saying this I left the conference room and headed towards the car. Within a few hours, I was back in London. I walked towards my car to drop me home. I had really screwed the deal. how the hell am I going to marry someone within three days? Neither am I engaged I lied that too. God help me, please... why did I have to open that stupid mouth of mine. screw me.
