Samantha
"Kim, no offense, but I have no desires whatsoever to go out tonight. I have tons of work to do, and I need to take advantage of the quietness of my dorm. Russell is usually out until late Friday nights, so I have the whole place to myself. I need to study." I grunted in protest. She knows how important school is to me. She has been hassling me all week to go out with her and some friends she made to watch a movie tonight.
"Come on, Sam. You've been studying all week long. You still have about three weeks before your test, you said it yourself. Come on, give yourself a little break. It's just one night honey." she continued to persuade me. Though, I was not going to budge. I need to study, and that is that. "Samantha, I am not going to give up until you say yes. Do you realize that you haven't gone out at all, since the party Russell invited you to? That was almost two months ago. Come on, now. We're going out to the movies tonight, I'm going to introduce you to my friends, you are going to make her friends and enjoy your evening, got it?"
I protested silently, slumping my shoulders and closing my eyes. I guess I'm at disadvantage here. She was not going to give up, and I was not getting much studying here, because she wasn't leaving me alone. "Fine. But one movie only, and after that, I'm gone. Got it?" I said, annoyed with her presence. She squealed in excitement, jumping up and down. She quickly pulled me into a hug, making me regret my decision already.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
(8 p.m.)
I stood by my mirror, finishing up getting ready for tonight. I decided on a simple black t-shirt with a V-neck line and tight blue jeans. I made my makeup as light and natural as I could, leaving my hair down, naturally.
I had just gotten my hair cut a little, just a little off my mid-back, and highlighted my hair a little from the dull dark brown. I grabbed my bag, and unplugged my phone from the charger, making my way out of the room.
I heard voices as I made my way to the door, realizing Russell was talking with Kim and Brandon. "Hey, guys. Ok, Kimmy, I'm ready. Let's get this over with." I said, smiling. Russell turned, smiling and as always, making me lose myself in his gorgeous eyes.
He locked eyes with me, and it was as if we both got lost in our sight for a few seconds. "Great, we'll see you guys later. Have fun guys," she said waving them off.
Brandon nudged him, making him break eyesight with me. He cleared his throat, rubbing his neck and smiling. "You...you look really pretty tonight Sam. Would you....mind, if we tag along?"he asked, as I slowly passed by. "Thanks, Russell. You look really nice too....and no, I mean, of course not. At least I'll know three of you." I said chuckling.
We made our way to the movies, and my eyes went wide, in shock as I see Craig talking to someone in the group of people we were supposed to hang out with tonight. I closed my eyes and grunted. I was not about to walk in there and watch a movie with a group of strangers, next to my ex. "H-o-l-l-y s**t. Sam, I am so sorry hun. I didn't know he was coming along. I swear. We don't have to go if you don't want to. We can leave." she said, looking at me with a sad expression.
"I can't believe this," I said, turning on my heel. But, I felt bad for Kim. I know she was looking forward to this all week. "Come on, let's get out of here." she said, looping her arm around my hand.
"No, it's ok, Kim. You guys go ahead and join them. I'll just go and have a nice cup of coffee somewhere and see you back at home." her friends were calling her over, and she felt so bad about this situation, I didn't know what to do. "No, SAM! We'll leave with you. We can hang out some other time with them. Besides, if you're not comfortable because he's here on a date, it's understandable. Let's just leave, we can go somewhere else. Really, it's fine." But you know, she was right, I needed to prove to him that I was over him. And if he was here on a date, then some it, I was way over him. "You know what? It's fine, let's go." I said, making my way over.
"Sam, are you sure you're ok with this? I mean, Kim is right, we can leave and go somewhere else if you're not comfortable." Russell said, placing his hand on my shoulder. I sighed, looking over at the group. "I said I was fine. I can care less if he's here. He's the least of my worries. Besides, you already said you wanted to watch this movie, so let's go." I made my way over.
Kim introduced us to other friends. They all seemed nice, including the girl that was with Craig. We made our way inside and sat in two rows. Russell was nice enough by buying us popcorn and soda. I asked him to sit next to me, I just knew Craig was going to try something since I noticed he sat right behind me.
I could tell they were making out in the back. The girl had no censorship in her, as she continued to moan from how he was groping her. I felt so disgusted. I can't believe I actually dated him. I mean, what the hell was I thinking?
I couldn't take it anymore, I needed to get out of there blake fore I barfed on myself from how disgusted I felt right now. I grabbed my bag and bounced out of there. I made my way to the restroom and ran the faucet as if the water would clear my head...right?
I splashed my face with a bit of water and grabbed a few paper towels, dabbing my face dry with the towels, and made my way out. "Sam," I heard his voice, making me grit my teeth. "What do you want, Craig?" he was leaning against the wall on the other side of the restroom. "Why did you suddenly leave? Got a little jealous perhaps? You know all you have to do is ask me to take you back?" he said, making me roll my eyes.
The restrooms were poorly located down towards the end of the hall, with very little light. It made me feel so uncomfortable. "Dream on, Craig. I left because it was obvious you two were not going to let me hear the movie. It was hard past her stupid moans, you know?" I recorded back, making him chuckle. God, he does look dreamy... But I'd be damned if I ever took him back.
I rather rot, than take his lying, conniving, cheating-ass back. "Sure, baby. Come on, now," he says pulling me against him, trailing his hands around my waist. I tried pushing myself off by pushing on his chest but to no avail. "You know you miss me. How about you and I get out of here and have some fun, for old times sake?" he says, trying to kiss my neck. I moved away, squirming, and pushing harder. "Craig... I..said..no. Let go!" I struggled to getaway. The more I pushed him away, the tighter he held his s arms around me.
"Come on, baby. I know you still want me, I can see it in your eyes. You still dream about me at night, don't you, Samantha? Come on..even your mommy and daddy are aware that I am the best suitor for their precious little girl." he says making me feel more disgusted.
What the hell do my parents know? What are they thinking, trying to pair me with him?
He leaned forward trying to kiss me again, I closed my eyes and fought back tears. I prayed that someone would see us, and come to my aid soon. But knowing my damn luck... That probably will not happen. He pressed me against the wall, running his hands over my waist, to my sides, and almost grabbing my breasts. "Craig, stop... Please. Don't do this...let go! Please I'm begging you." I pleaded. But it was as if he was deaf, or perhaps he just didn't care. He was used to never getting a no from another girl. He was used to girls willingly dropping panties at his will...but not with me.
He chuckled army struggle, knowing no one would come to help...but someone did. I closed my eyes and took a long sigh as I felt the weight of his body being ripped away from me. I hyperventilate, gripping my chest and sliding down against the wall until I was sitting on the floor.
"She said NO! Craig. So why don't you chill? Get the hell out before I break that pretty little face of yours?" Russell held him by his shirt, writing his teeth, and spat loud in his face. Craig looked at him in shock and then chuckled. "I should of known... You're already f*****g him... Aren't you? That's why you're turning me down. Your mommy is not going to like hearing this, Samantha." he said making Russell more pissed off.
Russell punched him once on his left jaw, making him fall to the ground. He looked at him with shock as he gripped his jaw, and came back to his feet. "You little... You're going to regret this. you and that whore... I swear you two will regret it" he said, squirming away in a hurry.
"Chill out, Craig... It was just a little punch. I thought you were a man? Come on, now" Russell taunted him as he takes off.
I cried once Craig was gone. Russell extends his arm, letting me take it softly, and brings me to my feet. He engulfs me into a tight bear hug, running his hand softly over my back, trying to soothe me. "Are you ok Sam?" he asks, but I was too overwhelmed to answer. I simply nod, placing my head on his chest.
"Come on, let's get out of here." He says, grabbing my bag off the floor and giving it to me. He takes off his hoodie and makes me put it on. We make our way out of that stupid theater and go back home. This whole day had been a disaster, but I was glad that he was there to help. I don't know what I would have done if he hadn't come along.
