Fight Night

Sam "I'll see you later?" I asked him as we both made our way out of our rooms and began to start our day full of classes. He smiles, locking eyesight with me and biting his lower lip as he looked away. "I have something very important to do tonight, but...we can meet for lunch like we always do? I'll see you then?" he replies, making me smile. We both made our way towards the door and grabbed our backpacks. Kim was already waiting for me at the door, scrolling through her phone and laughing at something she was seeing on her phone. Russell quickly grabs my arm pulling me back, "Hey.... I ...Uhm, have a good day in class today, see you later." he says, making me feel confused. I looked at him intensely, he clears his throat and strides past me, opening the door and leaving. Kim puts her phone back in her pocket and looks at me, "Ready to go?" she asks, making me sigh and close my eyes for a mere second. "Uh, yeah, let's... Let's go," I reply and walk over, opening the door and allowing her to walk out the dorm before I close the door behind myself. Just as we made it to the cafeteria for lunch, Russell pulls me to the side, and makes me hide with him, "Russ, what the hell?" I say before he shushes me, placing a finger over his mouth and leaning flushed against me. We look towards the table where we usually sit and see that a thin blonde girl is talking to our friends, but Brandon doesn't look happy to see her. "Who is that?" I ask as I see how pretty she is. He sighs, hanging his head before me, but all I can think of is how close we are. How his hand is tightly digging on the small of my waist and his knee is pinned between my legs. God, it's getting a little hot in here. "That's... That's my ex, Roxanne. I don't want her to see me." well damn, I have no idea how bad things were with them, but just looking at her makes me feel inferior to her. She truly is pretty, and I can seriously tell that she still has a great impact on him. He grabs my hand, taking me out of the building along with him. We ended up somehow eating together at a restaurant nearby, riding around in his motorcycle until it was time for my next class. I slowly got off his bike and gave him back the helmet, getting a smile in return. "Thanks for coming along, Sam. It meant a lot to me." he says grabbing the helmet. "Anytime... What are friends for, right?" I say as I clutch onto the strap of my backpack, swaying from side to side slightly, and biting my lower lip. "Right... Friends." he replies. "Ill see you later then?" "Ok, bye Rus." I reply, but soon as I turn, he grabs my hand, pulling me against him and planting a kiss on my lips. Our lips automatically connect, our tongues fighting for dominance and his hands gripping my waist tightly. We both part, gasping for air. He slowly places his forehead against mine, making me sigh. "Bye, Sam," he says as he slowly caresses my cheek and places one last kiss on my lips. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Russell ✨✨(Third Person POV~ Russell stands by the entrance to the locker rooms, his nerves are in full course as he feels the adrenaline and vertigo crazed inside his body. His hands clammy and a shiver runs through his spine. He closes his eyes and sighs, tilting his head back, and concentrates on calming himself down. )✨✨ "Ok, Russ, Just take a deep breath. Remember what Joe said, think of something that makes you happy. Relax, and breathe. You got this, he's got nothing on you, baby, Nothing." I decided on bringing Brandon along tonight. Something I rarely allow, but tonight, I needed the extra boost of encouragement and support. I close my eyes again, and an image of me sitting at the kitchen island of my dorm comes to play. Samantha sits across from me, while she sips on her coffee while reading one of her books and notes, while she types away on her laptop. Unaware, a smile creeps upon my face from one ear to the other. "Uh-huh, yeah. I know that look, let me guess, you're thinking about Sam, aren't you?" he says playfully, making me push him on his shoulder. We both chuckle, but it's true. I can't get her off my mind or the few kisses we have exchanged up to now. I sigh, nodding my head. " That girl is doing something to me. I don't know what it is. But the more I spend time in that dorm with her, the harder it's getting for me to act a gentleman." He chuckles and turns, walking towards my locker and shutting the door. "Well it's a good thing you two are dating now, right?" He says, making me feel guilty. I haven't had the heart to tell him the truth. I know I should. He's my best friends end, and I hate keeping things from him, but... I'm really confused. I don't want to get hurt, and I don't want her getting hurt either. What if I hurt her? What if she breaks my heart? I don't think I can stand going through another break-up again. "Yeah, it's a good thing right?" I say quietly, looking at him while I continue to hang my head and finish wrapping my left hand around my wrist. "Did es she know about your extra curricular activity already?" He asks, making me clench my jaw. No one had ever known about my fighting, except Brandon and my uncle. Not even my ex, Roxy, knew about this. I never had the guts to tell her. She saw me as nothing but a nerd, who never had time for her or her daughter because I was always busy with classes "Come on, you're up next in five minutes," he says, throwing me a squirt bottle with cold water inside. I take a long swig, squirting the water inside my mouth, and throw it back to him. "Hey, kid. Good luck out there. You're gonna do great. Have confidence alright? Don't let this guy fool you with his bulk steroids-filled muscles. I've seen you fight, you're one of the bests I've seen come through this gym." The old man comes, greeting me and wishing me the victory for tonight's match. I smile and look at him from the side as my head as it hangs low. he finish placing tape around my hands to hold the gloves in place, and pat him on his shoulder. "Thanks Frank." I tell the owner of the place. "I appreciate that." He smiles, showing his dimples, and a gleam in his eyes. "Go get 'em, kid, and no problem. I'll be rooting for you out there." He pats my shoulder and walks away, making me nod. I look at Brandon as he stands arms crossed and smile. "Russel, you're up." A boy calls out to me from the doorway, making us turn our heads and nod in acknowledgment. "Let's go, knock his ass out, buddy." Brandon says, hitting me on my shoulder blade. I sigh, puffing my cheeks and walking out to the rink. The bright lights and deaf tone of the music and loud crowd pumping my blood, ready to enter that rink and give it my all. ?✨?✨?✨?✨?✨?✨?✨
