A Very Charmed One

The unexpected things

Work was great, no attacks. But I don't want to hold my breath on that. The girls has been with me through the way on everything. They've calm down some with Nathan since he's been coming to the club to watch me work/see me. Paige, she was always saying things about him like she did with Phoebe when she was with Cole.

One day at work all the girls were at the bar talking when Nathan had came in the door and I just happened to walk over to the bar to get drinks when I over heard her.

"I just have that bad feeling I did with Cole, when y'all were together." She started off. "I just don't get it with this family, why you all have to date demons."

"Paige, just leave it alone. Its gonna bother her and get her pissed off just like you did me." Phoebe told her.

"Yeah, but look what happened there. I was right." Paige said.

"Yes, and he turned the time around just to be with Phoebe and killed you. Remember all that?" Piper said.

"I just don't like guy okay." Paige said right as I came over to the bar and just had enough of it and slammed down my tray.

"You don't have to like it Paige, just leave it alone. Before you piss me off and I regret what I'm gonna say." I said as I grabbed my drinks. "Or I'll leave and never come back. I'll be that one." I said then walked away. But stopped and turned around. "And I don't want that. I just found y'all." I said then went on what was doing.

I didn't like how I said it but it was true. Kinda.

"But," Paige started to say.

"Just let her be and drop it." Prue told her. "She is a Halliwell after all and we all know how we Halliwell's are when we made our minds up. We don't stop."

"Just be happy for her, Paige. After what she's lost, she's just turning her life around." Piper said.

"Even if it is a demon." Phoebe agreed.

That night, wasn't the last. But I let it be. It was just words. She'll get use to him. I mean he wasn't around much nor she lived at the Manor. But when he was there, he would show up just in time when there was a demon attack. He would throw a fireball or energy ball at em.

One day it was me holding baby Chris walking down the stairs, when a demon came. He threw a energy ball at us making me fall down the stairs. Of course I protected Chris with everything I had thanks to my necklace.

I even levitated, kicking his ass with one arm. Right as I jumped up to kick him in the face, Nathan had appeared right as I back flipped from kicking the demon in the face. He caught me then sent a fireball at the demon, blowing him up.

Chris was crying in my arms when Nathan caught us. I coddled him, to show him he was okay. As Nathan helped me up, Piper and Leo came through the front door with Wyatt. Piper ran to me when she saw Chris was crying.

"Oh my god, what happened." She asked as she coddled Chris as well.

For a 3 year old he's tuff but a lot of stuff scares him.

"We was coming downstairs when we was attacked. Nathan just so happens to show up and caught us from flying out the window." I said as I was kissing Chris's forehead.

"God, my poor baby. Its okay, thank god you showed when you did. Thank you." Piper told Nathan.

Your welcome." Nathan told her. "I was just coming over to see you, I didn't know you were being attacked." He said then looked at me. "But for some reason I had a feeling something was gonna happen."

"What do you mean?" Leo asked.

"I can't explain it." Nathan said at first. "Its like, I'm drawn to you much more than I was, so maybe the love that we have," he started to say then looked at me. "I have, I just know what you feel. Like your thinking of me and I just show."

"Maybe. I mean few months back, I think of you and you showed up, astral projection form or some kind." I had said. "Like you were thinking of me too."

After thinking about it, it all felt weird that we did that. In so many words, that I can even think of, I was starting to fall for him more and more.

One day I drove to the store to get some stuff for the house, that we were getting low on. As I was walking down all the aisles, grabbing the last thing I needed, when a woman came by me.

"Excuse me." The lady said.

She scared the crap out of me, making me drop the jar of pickles.

"I am so sorry." The lady said, helping me clean up my mess.

"Its fine. I'll let someone know it broke." I said as I pushed everything to the side.

The woman nodded then stood up faced me. "Your Heather right?" She asked me.

I turned to her with a shocking look. "How do you know who am?" I asked her.

"Well where I'm from, your famous. Your one of the charmed ones. Or I should say, the charmed one."

"Shhhhhh, keep your voice down." I said as I grabbed her arm, to pull her close to me then looked around to make sure no one was looking out way.

"I'm sorry. But I need your help." She said. "I'm not evil at all. I'm good."

"That's what they all say?" I said as I walked away and went over to the produce section.

"If I was evil I would tried to hurt you or even kill you." She said a little loud.

I stopped where I was walking and turned around. When I did, I saw a few people looking at us. I grabbed her arm and pulled her with me to where I was going to hurry up and grab what I need.

"Will you keep it down. Not a lot of people know about the magical being stuff." I told her.

"Well people should." She said at for when she looked around herself. "But anyways, I really need your help. Like bad."

"How did you even find me?" I asked her as I grabbed what I was looking for.

"I sniffed you out." She said making me stop what I was doing. "More like about your aura, your power." She had said.

As I was trying to comprehend on what she was talking about the sprinklers had came on and a few drops of water had landed on her. Everything happened so fast that it was more like it was going in slow motion. I never saw it coming. She was standing one second then the next she was laying on the floor flopping her legs, well tail. She was a mermaid.

I hurried up and froze the whole store before people noticed. I was in compete shocked. I didn't know what to do.

"Oh my god, we got to get you out of here."

"How? I can't walk with my tail." She said.

"I can astral project and get you in the cart to get out to my car." I said as I made myself appear next to me.

"Hey gorgeous." My 2nd half said.

"Back at cha. Help me pick her up and put her in the cart." I told myself.

We both picked her up and put her in the cart and ran out of the store with her to my car. Once I got her in and my 2nd half became one again. Everything unfroze just in time. But not in time when a ugly woman came out of know and tried to shoot something at us.

I ran to the other side of the car and drove out of the parking lot towards home. As I was driving she explained who that woman was and why she needed my help.

She brought up that she was on the run from her because she fell in love with a human being and wanted to stay human. But over time, the crazy hag, had finally found her and is trying to collect her p*****t on what Ariel had promised her.

Back at the house, Ariel finally dried off and walked inside naked of course. But I had handed her my coat that I kept in the car. Piper was cooking and Leo was in the living room with the boys.

"Aunt Heather!" Wyatt had yelled out to me then ran towards me.

"Hey baby, can you do me a favor and grab your baby brother and go to your room for me." I told him.

Leo looked at me then saw I had someone with me.

"Wyatt do what aunt Heather says. Please for daddy." Leo ordered.

"Come on brother. We gotta go." Wyatt says as he walked back over to Chris then orbed out of the room.

"Piper, 911." I yelled out.

Piper came walking out of the kitchen with a towel. About to holler at me until she saw Ariel.

"Honey, who's your friend?"

"This is Ariel. She's a mermaid. She found me at the market." I had said.

"Oh dear, please tell me you got what I sent you to get did you?" Piper asked.

"Yes," I said at first. "s**t no, something happened where I had to get out of there."

"Sorry, its my fault." Ariel said.

"Oh no, what happened?" Piper asked.

"Well she found me, she got wet, and she grew a tail. Then when I got her to the car, a crazy lady came and tried to water blast me."

"Oh no, not this again." Piper said. "Leo, can you go get Phoebe please."

"Wait what you mean; 'Not this again?' Piper what are you not telling me?". I asked as Leo orbed out.

"Paige!" Piper yelled out. "When I was pregnant with Wyatt, we had something like this happened before." Piper said. "Paige!" She yelled again.

After that yell, Paige finally showed up. And at the same time, Leo and Phoebe showed up as well.

"What Piper? I was with a charge." Paige had said.

"What's all this? I was about to do a radio show." Phoebe asked.

"Deja Vu is happening all over again, that's what." Piper said. "We have another mermaid in trouble."

"Everyone meet, Ariel."

"Awe, like the little mermaid." Paige said.

"Yes, but only prettier." I had said.

"Awe, thanks." Ariel had said.

"Your welcome." I had said right when Piper had spoke. "Let me get you some clothes," Piper said as she grabbed Ariel's hand and pulled her towards the stairs. "Heather, explain to the girls what happened."

"What you mean, what happened?" Phoebe asked.

As Piper and Ariel was walking up the stairs, Nathan had shimmered into the room, as I was explaining to the sister's what had happened.

"Again." Phoebe whined.

"Should we get Prue?" Paige asked.

"No, leave her out of it. She's out with business." I had said.

"More like vacation." Phoebe sarcastically said.

"Wait a second, a mermaid found you by your power?" Nathan asked.

I looked at him, kinda forgetting he had showed up. "Yeah, that's what she said."

"So we have a real doozy one here girls." Piper said as her and Ariel came walking down the stairs. "I want to say this is just like the story of the little mermaid but with a twist."

"What you mean by that?" Leo and the sisters asked.

"The crazy old hag, wants her life or her child's life form. Another demon wants her mortality. Basically like the last one we had to deal with."

"Oh god, not again. I don't wanna be a mermaid. Don't get me wrong, it was fun while it lasted. But I have no one to turn to for lost love."

"What about Coop?" I asked.

"I mean, that I don't love. Its confusing. The last time we all said a spell, I turned into a mermaid because my heart was cold because of Cole. But now I'm married to Coop, so I don't know how this gonna play out." Phoebe said.

After trying to figure things out, for Ariel sakes. But it didn't help that the hag had found us. And she wasn't alone either.

A tall dark hair man came and tried to take Ariel from us and they fought like hell. Nathan got in the way where I had to rush over to him to push him out of the way when the hag had threw a water ball at me making me float in the air at the same time the tall man had zapped Nathan then the girls.

I felt like I was drowning in place. Like I couldn't do anything. I couldn't move, everything was going in slow motion until I had fallen to the floor. When I sat up, coughing my ass off that is when I saw Ariel was gone.

I looked around and saw Nathan getting up dusting himself off before coming over to me. Leo was healing the girls when I stood up.

"Ariel!" Piper yelled.

"She's gone. They took her." I had said.

"Are you okay?" Phoebe asked me.

"Yeah, I think so. I felt like I was drowning. I felt weak." I said as Nathan grabbed the throw over blanket around me. "Thanks." I said.

"Yeah, tell me about it. I've been in that before." Paige said.

"Let's go to the book and say that damn spell." Phoebe has said. "I hope you turn into that damn thing. I don't want to be that again."
