Talia came inside. There was shouting and crashing coming from the hall. I heard a girl scream. I didn’t want to rush in and hinder whatever they were doing. I closed the door.
When I turned back, Talia was grabbing the Gales and hauling them to the couch, practically tossing them down. She pulled something out of her pocket and pulled back Mr. Gale’s head. When his head tipped back enough, I could see she was writing on his forehead with a permanent marker.
Harmony looked like she was torn between wanting to stay with them and wanting to go to her sister. She shook her head and ran down the hall. She made the right choice.
