Malia I didn’t move from Ty’s lap for the next few hours, drifting off to sleep in his arms. When I woke up we were still sitting at his desk, but he was leaning back as well. His feet propped up on the wood’s surface as he looked at something on his phone. I smiled, wrapping my arm tighter around his neck as my eyes adjusted to the sunlight shining in through the curtains. “Hey,” I whispered to him. He set his phone down, tightening his grip on me. “You’re finally awake,” his lips brushed against my cheek as he pushed the loose strands of my hair back from my face. “Sorry, I guess I didn’t sleep well,” and I knew I hadn’t. With all the tension between Ty and I, I’d been tossing and turning all night. Things seemed to be easing up now, or at least they were until he said the five scar
