WARNING THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS MATURE CONTENT "Are you sure yo're ok?"  He questioned me, sitting on the toilet seat after wrapping me in the towel and pulling me onto his lap. "I'm getting your clothes all wet."  I complained. "I have others, these will dry."  He replied.  "Now answer the question." "I'm just tired."  I responded with a shrug and leaned my head against his shoulder, feeling the water from my hair immediately begin to soak into his shirt collar. "Can vampires get the stomach flu?"  I asked sarcastically. "Well I don't think...  We don't contract most human illnesses because the virus tends to mutate other illnesses it comes in contact with to further its own agenda... but we are still open to bacterial infections, for instance, like poisoned or spoiled food, infections from wounds, and such, if proper care is not taken or healing is delayed.  But generally we just recover a lot faster, but just like with a human that requires energy, so rest and proper nutrition, which in our case might be a few extra meals..."  Alexandre said thoughtfully.  "So maybe not the flu, but maybe something you drank was contaminated, and you haven't quite worked it out of your system yet..." "But you drank most of the same things."  I replied "Yes, but not the hot chocolate.  I despise milk."  Alexandre made a face.  "Well, I do since my turning."  I groaned. "Oh don't tell me the chocolate betrayed me!"  I whined and Alexandre chuckled. "I don't know, let's see how you feel tomorrow, shall we?  Do you think you can rest?  I laid out some clothing for you in our room."  He said, kissing my head.  My breath caught. "Our room?"  I asked cautiously. "You seem to be spending more time there than your own, and frankly, I'd much rather you would.  I moved some of your things in while you slept.  I hope you don't mind.  I like having you near me Carys."  He kissed my head again, but I turned and caught his face in my hands, kissing him long and deep until he pulled back slightly with a dazed look on his face. "Maybe those clothes can wait."  I suggested, and with a gleam in his eye, he scooped me up and raced to the bedroom.  I giggled as he dropped me lightly on the bed, cradling me so I wouldn't get hurt.  I tugged at his shirt and he enthusiastically stripped it off for me.  I traced my fingers along the soft flesh of his abdomen, tracing the light outline of his muscles, then running my hands along his hips.  I heard him inhale as I traced the scar tissue, which was gradually disappearing, following it under his waistband.  Alexandre let out a groan and I teasingly unbuttoned his pants until he growled and ripped them off in frustration.  I laughed. "Are we impatient?"  I taunted, still tracing the scar.  He leaned in quickly to smother my laugh with his lips and I gasped for air, still laughing lightly as he kissed his way down my throat.  He snarled low in his throat and nipped at my collarbone as he worked at removing the rest of his clothing, and I let my hands glide lower, to feel him inhale sharply against my neck.  He tore the towel from me and immediately began to run his hands and lips over my body. "Are you still ok, Carys?"  He growled, pausing while he awaited my answer, and I gripped his hips in reply, pulling him to me.  He allowed our bodies to join and moaned, hovering over me, trying to keep his weight off me.  I gripped the back of his head and guided his mouth to my neck, he knew what I wanted, but he gently kissed me instead and murmured "Not while you're ill."  I moaned, dissatisfied.  He was being too gently with me, treating me like I was going to break.  I squirmed, and Alexandre allowed me to readjust our positions.  I enthusiastically took control.  He groaned as I settled on top of him, and the groan sent my vampire side into overdrive.  I pounced him, going straight for the throat.  He complied, turning his head immediately and tangling his fingers in my hair as I sunk my teeth into him.  I felt the warm gush of his blood at the same time as he moaned again, his muscles tensed as he writhed in pleasure.  I snarled and drove myself against him harder, unable to control my body as it reacted to the sensations and overwhelmed me.  Alexandre's rough breathing and moans spurred me on, and I attacked him until I had exhausted us both.  I was still quivering several minutes after I had rolled off him.  Alexandre raggedly breathed beside me, clutching me to his chest desperately, like I was a wild animal that might try to bolt.  He cleared his throat, and I waited, but he didn't say anything for several long minutes. "Sorry."  I said sheepishly, pulling back.  "I kind of...attacked you there." "Hmm, no that was not at all unpleasant.  I have been trying very hard to be gentle with you, but now that I know you also like things...ahem...a little less gentle...Next time...  I will bear that in mind."  He replied.  I felt a tingle at his words.  I couldn't suppress a yawn that had been building, which Alexandre wryly took note of.  "Come here."  He commanded and pulled me into his arms again. "I can't go to sleep like this-I'm naked!"  I griped. "And?  You're in your own bed, in your own room, where you set the rules.  Want to sleep in the nude?  I'm not going to complain."  Alexandre scolded gently.  My heart warmed, but I couldn't help but giggle at the last part. "Of course you're not, pervert."  I laughed and he growled lightly, pulling me closer against him.  "You're proving my point for me."  I cautioned and he grumbled, but refused to let go.  I sighed happily and I could feel his lips against the back of my neck lift into a smile. "Never let go Alexandre."  I whispered and fell asleep. I woke up later to a rumbley stomach, but thankfully, everything decided to stay down.  I got dressed and went looking for Alexandre, expecting to find him in his study.  Instead his scent ran cold at the door, so I went back to the bedroom to find my phone.  Alexandre had left it on the nightstand and underneath it was a handwritten note.  His penmanship was almost worthy of calligraphy.  It definitely put my awkward scrawl to shame. 'Love, Gone to police station to file report concerning car for insurance claim.  Will be back as soon as possible. Check your phone. Eternally, Alexandre' I tapped the screen to see I had a new voicemail.  I opened the message to hear a song play over the speaker.  'I just called to say I love you' the voice sang.  I blushed. "So sappy."  I whispered to myself and saved the message.  I typed a quick text reply, a single heart.  I didn't want to distract him if he was on the road or in with the police, vampire reflexes or no.  I wandered to the library and chose a book to read while I awaited his return, and it wasn't very long before I heard the rumble of an engine and the door opening. "In the library!"  I called lightly, though I know he could have found me easily enough. "Oh good."  Said an unfamiliar voice.  "You made this easy for me."  I stiffened and was out of my chair immediately. "Who are you?"  I demanded  "Get out of my home!" "Your home?  I don't think this place belongs to you miss, though I appreciate your confidence.  Really have the gentleman wrapped around your finger, don't you?"  He stepped into the library.  "Though I guess I can see why, you're a cute lil' thing.  Not like gorgeous, no, but still have that girlish charm, don'tcha?"  He walked closer.  "Yeah, what are you, twenty?  Thirty?  Not too old I don't reckon based on your smooth skin, but you look a little sickly."  He was circling, trying to corner me.  I stood my ground.  I was a vampire damn it!  I started taking stock as he talked.  He smelled healthy enough, so I could probably use my teeth if I needed, no risk of accidental turning.  No, scratch that-his liver was damaged.  There was a risk.  Well good, I didn't wanna bite this fool anyway.  I decided to play dumb for the moment. "Oh wait, are you a friend of Alexandre's?  He didn't tell me he was expecting company!"  I smiled brightly, tilting my head. "Yeah, friend, let's go with that."  The guy smiled a sinister smile.  Check, dude was here for nothing good.  I advanced on him as if in welcome. "Well hi!  I'm Carys, would you like something to drink?  Coffee, tea, a soft drink maybe?  Water?"  I could feel my vampire instincts urging me to rip out his throat and I clenched my teeth, hiding it behind a wide smile.  The man laughed threateningly. "You really don't know why I'm here, do ya sweetheart?"  He laughed.  I heard the crunch of tires in the drive.  I knew the sound was too soft for a human's ears.
