Nightmares-MA

WARNING THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS MATURE THEMES. "Carys?  What happened?  Was it another nightmare?"  He was watching my reactions carefully, particularly the movement of my hand, clutching at the crook of my arm.  I forced myself to relax and unclenched my right hand.  Alexandre came around to crouch in front of me, peering up at my face. "It was just a stupid nightmare.  And your face looks gruesome.  I'm sorry, that's harsh, but it's terrifying."  I shuddered.  Alexandre immediately got up at my words and sped from the room.  I heard water splashing in his bathroom and within a minute or two he returned with a clean face. "Better?"  He chided and I nodded.  He frowned, scooping me up and centering us on the bed, me in his lap.  "I thought the nightmares were a thing of the past?"  Alexandre asked carefully.  I sighed. "Me too."  I replied, sighing again.  "I feel safe with you."  I blushed, forcing myself to continue.  "So I rarely have the nightmares when you're around.  I think I shouldn't have looked at that file..."  Alexandre's expression went from delighted to concerned.  He kissed the tip of my nose and touched his forehead to mine. "You will insist on doing things your way."  He sighed, and I nodded my head against his. "Pretty much, yeah."  I answered and Alexandre drew back to gape at me. "You..."  He stammered and tossed me onto the bed while I giggled.  He stalked me as I scooted away and tickled my midriff until there were tears in my eyes. "What do you need right now, Carys?"  He asked gently when I could breathe again. "Could you maybe just hold me for a while?"  I asked softly, rolling over to face him and kissing him gently.  He responded in kind, and I could feel his lust burning to break free behind the kisses, but he carefully controlled it and was gentle, only his eyes betrayed him.  "Later."  I promised, leaning my forehead against his and closing my eyes. "I will hold you to it."  Alexandre threatened and I chuckled lightly as sleep crept up and stole me away. Alexandre kissed me lightly sometime later as he left the bed.  I was dimly aware of a doorbell ringing before I drifted back off again.  I don't know when he returned but I woke with a snap, body primed, realizing it must be late afternoon.  My head was on Alexandre's chest and his arm was cradling me close to his body.  I sighed and traced my fingers across the light muscles visible under the skin as he breathed.  The edges of the scar on his hip were showing above his waistband.  The scar looked lighter and flatter, but the angry reds and purples hadn't completely faded, and from this angle it still stood out like a tiny mountain range against his skin.  I reached across his body and ran my fingers along it. "Mmm."  Alexandre purred  "Didn't I tell you not to do that unless I was awake and could enjoy it?"  His voice was still thick with sleep and his eyes were closed.  "It should be gone soon.  Bad injuries can take time, just like with humans.  We just heal a little quicker is all."  He kissed me on the head. "I don't actually mind it.  It reminds me every time I see it that I'm lucky you made it back to me.  That I could have lost you, but I didn't."  I swallowed, tears strangling my voice.  Alexandre tilted my head so that I faced him. "Unless you want it otherwise, I will always do my damndest to get back to you."  He kissed me gently, which then turned into a more passionate kiss with his hands tangling in my hair.  In a move that surprised both of us, I suddenly growled and was on top of him.  I blushed. "Uhm...Sorry.  Perhaps it'd be nicer if I asked your consent for a change."  I apologized, trying to climb off him.  He held me in place, his hands like steel shackles. "Oh shut up you."  He snarled, pulling me to him and mumbling against my lips "You talk too much.  Besides, you promised..."  And that was the end of our conversation. Alexandre moaned loudly. "I don't want to get up!"  He protested.  "But there's so much left to do."  He groaned, rolling over to nibble my ear.  I swatted him away lightly.  Although I had been the instigator of our recent interaction, I was still inexperienced, so I was still experiencing a lot of embarrassment over the whole thing.  Even if Alexandre was a good teacher, and insisted he had seen 'plenty in the last hundred years'.  I blushed "Ohhh, are we having dirty thoughts little love?  You really must share."  Alexandre's lips brushed my neck.  I shivered.  Ever since that night at the rest stop that he had fed from me or 'tasted me' as he like to call it, he knew my weak spot and like to exploit it to his advantage, heavily.  "I'm always at your disposal...if you'd like to show instead of tell..."  He kissed my jaw.  "..or be romanced..."  then my neck  "...again..."  His voice was filled with the wolfy mischief and lust and he lightly pinched the spot above my pulse with his teeth.  An involuntary tremor shot through me at the same time I inhaled sharply, driving Alexandre's teeth into my flesh.  He licked the wound and tried to move away, but I grabbed his head and held him still.  He growled and greedily tore into my flesh, encouraging the blood to flow while I lost myself in a haze of pleasure and pain.  My moaning only encouraged him further and before I was aware of it, he was straddling me and said with a warning  "Carys, if I don't stop here, I'm not going to be able to."  I looked at him with half closed lids. "Then don't."  I said and he took me again while his mouth was covering the wound on my neck, and my entire body sang with the sensations.  He shook me awake a short time later from a blissful sleep and pulled me into his arms. "Come on.  Let's get some blood in you.  I took rather a lot and I'm not proud of it."  He sighed and struggled to fit one of his sweaters on me. "I feel fine, beautiful actually, just let me sleep."  I said, stretching happily in his arms as the sweater wrapped me in warmth and his smell. "Carys, the wound is closing too slowly, you're not fine."  Alexandre replied with exasperation and a hint of pain.  I looked at him carefully. "Hey, calm down.  You're still healing, it's hard for you to control yourself right now.  I'll be ok, I'm a little tougher to kill than that, remember?"  I pulled his face to me and kissed him gently, then tried to stand up from his lap.  My legs shook and I nearly lost my balance with a laugh.  Alexandre scooped me up and I could smell a change in his usual flower and book smell.  Not quite fear really, anxiety?  Panic.  I laid a hand on the side of his face with a giggle. "Alexandre, heaven's sake, calm down!  Remember, you've just had your way with this girl's body in a devastatingly interesting and pleasurable way.  Let me have a little time to adjust and get my sea-legs back.  I'm still a little weak in the knees over it all."  I laughed, and the blood rushed to my face, but Alexandre looked at me with a glint of relief in his eyes. "You mean..?"  Alexandre started, but I interrupted. "That you made me orgasm so hard that even my vampire abilities haven't caught up yet?  Yes."  I laughed harder at his look and blushed furiously as I told him "Remember, you're dealing with a pretty inexperienced girl here, but even so, I don't think I'll ever get used to some of the things you do."  Alexandre sighed in relief and then blushed himself as the compliment registered in his brain.  He suddenly leaned down and nipped my ear. "That just makes me want to try harder next time."  He growled and I shivered as his chuckle vibrated through his chest. He sat me in a kitchen chair and fetched the blood.  I stared at it listlessly, but at his insistence, drank enough for both of us. "Happy now?"  I asked. "Neck?"  He demanded, and I pulled the sweater away to reveal the closed up wound and completely healed skin.  He nodded approval, then with a twinkle in his eyes asked "How's your legs?"  I threw my cup at him, which he caught easily. "Rude."  He scolded, eyes still twinkling.  I scoffed. "Says the man teasing a woman he deflowered."  I shot back.  Alexandre opened his mouth and snapped it shut with an audible click in frustration. "I have half a mind to...I can't believe...I never..."  Alexandre sputtered and I laughed. "Nearly speechless, I'll take it."  I giggled and he growled. "I should bend you over this kitchen table and show you a good deflowering."  He said under his breath.  I stood up and stretched, aware of his eyes on me as I did.  I leaned over the table and kissed his cheek. "You could try."  I responded and quickly darted away, laughing madly, as he looked after me with an open mouth.  I heard the clatter of dishes in the sink and knew he was after me then.  I raced to the nearest bathroom and slammed the door with a breathless squeak before he could reach me.
