Elena's POV
After breakfast, we take a few warriors with us to run to the Silver River Pack. As soon as we leave our territory, I can feel something terrible in the air. I also get a smell of rotten flesh. I can see Ryan also smelling the air. It comes from the wilderness where the outcasts and I used to stay. I wouldn't say I like the smell, and I do not believe it will be a good day for any of us once whatever is out there attacks. Why can't we smell it in our territory? Is our territory protected? I do not know, but I believe the Moon Goddess is on our side. Whatever this is, or whoever this is, it cannot be good news for the Packs around here. I wonder if they can smell it in their territories. I have never felt or smelled something so terrible in my life.
