Knox followed Whitley into Ryan’s office. A week ago, he wasn’t sure if Crown Island would be a good fit for him and his family. But after what he’d seen here at the Majestic Hotel and in the community, he couldn’t think of a better place to raise Penny. He thought his parents would like it, too.
“Have you made your decision, Knox?” Ryan rose from his massive desk at the Majestic. He walked around to the front and leaned against it. He had a healthier look than when Knox had worked with him in New York. Or maybe it was the casual Hawaiian shirt Ryan wore.
“I’ve given it a lot of thought,” Knox replied.
“Want me to leave you two alone?” Whitley asked.
Ryan gestured to Knox. “Your call.”
Knox drew a deep breath. “Since I’m joining the team, you might as well stay.”
