CHAPTER 3CALEB OPENED HIS EYES SLOWLY as he tried to adjust to the lighting overhead. God, even his eyelids hurt. He must have been beaten and stabbed to death, brought back to life only to suffer the same fate—over and over again. What the hell had happened? He’d been darting toward a little girl one second, and suddenly he’s on a bed in some strange place. No, wait. There was something in between.
