“Sure. Lunch will be served shortly anyways.” He stopped and looked at her. “Are you feeling all right?” It wasn’t genuine concern in his eyes, but more a concern that her getting sunstroke might interfere with his plans for their weekend away.
“Yes, I’m fine. Just a little warm, that’s all.”
He nodded and started back the way they’d come without missing a step. “So, what do you think of the place?”
“It’s beautiful. It is so peaceful here. I think it was definitely a good investment on your part. It would be a wonderful place to go to unwind and re-center if you’ve had a rough week.”
“I thought you might say that.”
