CHAPTER 12SHE TOOK A DEEP BREATH as she tried to forget all that had happened since Caleb had walked into her bedroom. She tried to forget the way her skin tingled when his eyes grazed over her body. She could still feel it now as the need to forget warred with the desire to remember. But most of all, she tried to forget all the things she’d just told him, things she’d never told anyone before. It hadn’t been the way his gaze had set her core on fire that made her open up to him, at least, that wasn’t it entirely. But she didn’t have time to analyze what on earth had compelled her to reveal so much. She reached for the deadbolt, hesitating for just a second before she unlocked it.
