Then, Cory hopped back up, shook himself off, and walked over to the table where Savannah had arranged all their ghost hunting supplies. “Why don’t we get started?” he said, reaching out for the box that held his spirit board. Savannah eyed the spirit board with mild trepidation as Cory withdrew it and its planchette from the shallow box he’d been keeping it in. She’d always thought of spirit boards as old, mysterious artifacts passed down from family members who had been rumored to have magic powers, so it was a little odd to see one fresh from a new-ish looking box marked ‘Ages 8 and Up’.
