Nate’s POV
As my beautiful mate fell into my arms Brutus howled happily. The sparks erupted across my skin and I couldn’t help but grin as I helped her stand and pulled her into my chest, embracing her tightly as I inhaled her beautiful scent.
Ember froze momentarily before chuckling softly and wrapping her arms around me too.
“Is everything okay Nate?” she asked with an inquisitive expression on her face as she broke away from me and smiled.
“Of course, Ember, don’t worry. I’ve been looking forward to this evening. I get to have my beautiful mate all to myself. What more could I want?” I grinned back happily at her.
She blushed furiously as she tucked her hair behind her ear and glanced up at me coyly through her beautiful long lashes.
