The moment I heard my dad say I am going to get married, all emotions come mixing up from the pit of my stomach…
Except for the positive ones.
“She needs to live here in the mansion with you…” He added and I lost it. I have so many questions to ask and nothing but the dumbest one came out of my mouth.
“D-dad…What do you mean? I’m only 18…” I replied as I felt my hands and knees tremble in weakness. Out of nowhere, I tasted the bitterness of the burnt side of the pancakes I made and the floury and thicknesses of flavour of the uderbaked macarons make me want to throw up. I am sure that this taste will remain in my tongue for a very long time.
