Chapter 05

Aria POV:

This human world has day and night, unlike the fairyland I used to stay.

I didn't get any sleep for the entire night. I kept on looking at the walls and many new things caught my attention.

I got curious about them, but Nora was not ready to quench my thirst of curiosity.

Soon, the day became brighter, which means it was morning.

I heard knocking sounds. I got out of bed and opened the door.

It was from Maria.

“Good morning, Aria,”

she said with a bright smile.

Wow, this girl can be seen always smiling, and I like it.

“Good morning”

I replied.

“Come down after getting freshened up.

I am going to cook the pasta”

I heard her say.

“Really,

make it just like yesterday”

I said.

I liked that pasta...

“Ok, ”

said Maria and she turned to leave, but suddenly I thought to ask her about the white box on the wall.

“Maria, Can I ask you something?”

I asked her.

She nodded her head positively.

“What is it?”

I asked her pointing at the white box.

“You don't know about it, ”

she asked with a slightly shocked face.

I nodded negatively.

“It is called an Air Conditioner.

It makes the room cool”

She replied.

“Are you from a small village?”

she asked me.

I just nodded my head.

“Are you interested in your studies?”

she asked me.

Why is she asking me about studies now?

Whatever, This question I am going to answer honestly.

“No, I don't like studying.

But, My aunt sent me to this place forcefully.

My place is completely different from this place”

I replied.

I wanted to say this line to at least someone in the human world.

That their world is different from mine.

“That's the reason you easily got fooled by that fraud.

Don't worry from now on you ask me anything which you are not familiar”

she said.

“Thank you,”

I said with a bright smile.

She smiled and walked away.

“Nora, did you see?

Now I have a person to answer my questions”

I said.

As usual, I got no reply.

Wow, she is going on with her mute mode.

I walked towards the suitcase to select a dress.

If it was before I don't have to select any dress, but now I have to.

Coming to the human world only increased my work. If it was before I could have used magic but now,

Let's forget about it.

I am becoming sensitive if it comes to my magic.

I strolled down the stairs and found Maria going out of the house.

“Maria, Where are you going?”

I asked her.

“I am going to market to purchase some groceries and,

Aria my friend will come with a book, please collect it.

I informed her about you”

She requested me.

“Ok, ”

I said.

I was strolling inside the house. There were many things I was seeing for the first time.

I never thought humans have these types of objects in their world.

Suddenly, I heard bells ringing.

What are these sounds?

I looked around to locate the source of sound but found none but still, I kept on hearing the bells sound.

Suddenly the bell's sound stopped, and I heard the door knocking sound.

I walked to the door and opened it and I found a girl on the opposite side.

“Are you Aria?”

she asked me.

I nodded my head.

“I was continuously ringing the bell.

Why didn't you open the door”

she questioned me.

She is the one ringing the bell.

“Here gave this book to Maria”

She handed me the book and walked out.

I looked around to find the bell but found nothing.

“Ahh!! This place has an invisible bell”

I placed my head on the wall while pondering over the bell.

Suddenly, I heard that bell sound again.

I looked around and then realized that the sounds are coming from the thing that my head hit.

I clicked it with my hand, and again I heard the sounds.

Wow, This is fascinating.

I kept on clicking to find how this sound is travelling inside the house.

I should inform Lina aunt to install this one in our place.

I was completely concentrating on this bell that I didn't realize someone was standing behind me until I heard his voice.

“What are you doing?”

I heard Ryan's voice.

“Where does this sound is coming from?

I am not able to find any bell but by pressing this I am hearing the bell sound”

I asked him politely,

Ignoring the fact that he ignored me yesterday.

I waited for a few moments, but I didn't hear his reply.

Wow, he is just like Nora.

He also went into mute mode.

If it was another time I would have ignored him, but now curiosity is killing me.

And, I want to quench my curiosity thirst.

“Why are you not telling me?

Where is this sound coming from?”

I asked, turning towards him.

“From that”

He answered while pointing towards a box on the wall inside the house.

I gazed at the box and then at him because I got another doubt.

“How come sound is coming from there when I am pressing it here?”

I asked him thinking he would answer as he did previously.

“Don't you think you are asking completely dumb questions?”

He asked me.

I know it may sound dumb question for humans but what can I do when it is completely new for me.

But, how can he address me as dumb and that too in front of me?

“Is it a dumb question, but I am finding it interesting?

If you don't know then there is no need to answer.

I am going to ask Maria.

And, yesterday you walked away without introducing yourself.

It is bad manners.

Don't behave like that in the future”

I replied with my hands folded and a serious face because I didn't like him calling me dumb, although that question was dumb for him.

“I know about this, but I am not going to answer you and,

everyone in this world will say that this is a dumb question.

About yesterday, I don't find you trustworthy.

That's why I don't want to talk to you”

He said in a low voice.

I don't know what I should reply to him because he is correct in his view.

I am a complete stranger to him, and he doesn't find me trustworthy.

I think even if I am in his place I will do the same.

That's why I decided not to argue with him more and walked into the house.

This brother and sister are very different.

Maria is a person who believes everyone easily that's why she found me trustworthy.

On the other hand, Ryan is a person who doesn't believe others easily and that is the reason he didn't find me faithful.

Ok, now I know some of the human qualities.

I cannot ask Maria more about human world things.

She might get suspicious if I kept on asking these type of questions which are dumb questions according to them.

I have to find another way and that should be before school reopens.

I don't want to be dumb in front of other humans.

As Maria said schools are going to reopen in a week.

I have to know basic things about humans

before then.

Maria arrived at the home and started preparing the pasta.

I was patiently waiting for the past while sitting on the dining table.

I asked Maria about the bell, and she answered me about it.

Maria walked in with the pasta and Ryan also came and sat on the opposite side.

He gazed at the pasta and started inquiring about their absent cook today.

His expression changed when he looked at the pasta.

I don't know what it means.

He took another thing and started eating.

“I forgot to bring forks”

saying Maria walked into the kitchen.

I looked at pasta, and I was unable to wait. That's why I started eating without waiting for Maria.

As I was eating Ryan looked at me with a shocked expression.

Why was he shocked?

“Don't you know the proper way to eat?”

He asked me, but I didn't understand anything.

“Aria, Why are you eating with your hands?

I went to bring the forks”

Maria said walking towards us.

What are the forks!!?

“I know you were eager to taste my pasta, but you should wait for forks, ”

Maria said with a smile.

“Forks,”

I said with confusion.

“Yes, come wash your hands”

Said Maria,

I followed her to wash my hands.

“Now, eat with these forks,”

Maria said while handing the forks.

Should I have to eat with these forks?

How come they eat with it?

Yesterday, I ate with my hands.

I waited for Maria to eat as she started eating. I observed and tried to follow her.

After making a few attempts I got to succeed in eating the pasta with forks.

That means humans eat pasta with forks, not hands.

I have to remember this.

I gazed at Ryan, and he was looking at me with a shocked expression.

I proved myself as dumb again.

I know I am going to be addressed as dumb again and that too by him

For now, I am going to concentrate on pasta.

“Bro, You know Aria is the first one to compliment my pasta ''

I heard Maria saying to her brother.

“It is very delicious,”

I said.

I felt sad that no one complimented her pasta before me.

As her brother, he should have praised her.

“Thank you”

I heard Maria.

I smiled at her.

“Bro, do you want to try?”

Maria asked Ryan.

“No, ”

He replied and continued eating which I don't know.

I think humans have various kinds of foods.

I have to learn about them and also the things humans use in their daily lives.

I have so much to learn about this world

I never thought I would have to study this much.

“It's ok Aria

You can do it” I said to myself.
