9 Muffy still sat on the ground. Darda and I slipped one of our arms beneath hers and yanked her to her feet. The beasts continued to follow us as Darda nodded at the tents with their wide pathways. “We may be able to hide in there.” “Good,” I wheezed as I tried to catch my breath. We raced into the tents and reached the first intersection. Only one of the taimet followed us into the mess. The others stopped on the edge and snorted. One of them tilted back its head and launched another loogie, but this one was without the rocks. The muck arched toward us.
