We arrived at a little riverside cafe which looked out at the autumn landscape. It was beautiful. We sat down in a booth whilst Syl ordered three lots of brunch, some cakes and drinks. I heard him tell the waitress that once we had received our order, we didn’t want to be disturbed. She immediately went over to the door and turned the sign to say closed. Herdley arrived and as soon as the door opened, Syl went racing over, hugging him tightly. I could see they had tears in their eyes. They were both identical, except Syl was groomed and smart and Herdley was rugged and looked more like a skater boy. He was dressed in a pair of baggy jeans, a baggy tee and some vans.
