As I screamed I heard a howl. It was so loud it must have been close by. I tried to hide in case it was someone from the Scarlet Moon pack coming to hurt me, or even from the Wild Forest Moon pack. I waited for a while but I couldn’t hear a sound. I started to try and find my way back but I couldn’t get the smell out of my nose. It was haunting me.
I looked around, lost in the forest. I didn’t know which direction to go. I realised that in some directions the smell was stronger. My gut told me to follow it, so I did. My head kept telling me it was just my heart leading me to my death to end the pain, but I ignored it. My heart was hurt but I was losing my mind a little now.
