Chapter Four

1313 Words
Olivia ”Thank you for dropping me home Wyatt….” I paused. And for a few moments we sat in the darkness of his sleek black car. Why was this awkward? I knew Wyatt. He had been a fixture at all gatherings since I was nine years old. And he had disappeared when …I wracked my brains. When had he stopped coming round? Maybe when I was thirteen or fourteen? A long time ago. “I had a nice time tonight.” God why were the words so hard to say? It was like I wa suddenly flustered. This was Wyatt. Except this was a different man to the one I knew before. “You…” I touched his shoulder before I could stop myself. And he froze under my touch. His fa e turning slowly as if he didn’t want to look at me. “Would you like to come up for a drink?” I stammered , glad it was dark and he couldn’t see my face. For a second his almost white eyes searched my face, his lips parted and then he closed his eyes. Shaking his head. “No Liv.” Shit, I had totally misread the signs. When he had touched my shoulder and throat I had foolishly thought he might like me. But no. He had been acting as my protector and that was it. And I was a damn fool for thinking otherwise. “Don’t look like that.” “Like what?” I turned my face away from him. “Like I just kicked your puppy.” His fingers were cold as he brought my face back to face his. “We can’t do this.” I blinked up at him. And his smile was almost feral. “I don’t want to see you at the club again Liv.” I balked, I couldn’t help it. How could he say that when he was looking at me with so much heat in his eyes? He had touched me like he liked me, and for the first time in years I had felt the answering flood of lust. Maybe it was his hand round my throat, mixed with the sounds of pleasure? It was heady combination and it had been so long since I had been really attracted to a man. “I’m an adult Wyatt.” “I’m not arguing with you on this Olivia, that life isn’t for you.” He sounded tired but resigned. “But it’s for you.” His smile was a flash of white. His face set. “Yes.” His one word answer was meant to end that conversation but if there was one thing I got from both my parents it was their stubborn personality. “What the hell are you doing Liv?.” I pressed my lips to his in the dark. Fine , he wanted to end the conversation? So did I. I was fed up of talking anyway. My tongue traced his hard lips and they yielded slightly. He groaned as he ripped his mouth from mine, his hands tight on my arms as he pushed me away. Eyes blazing. “What was that?” I smiled, hoping it would come over sexier then I felt. More confident at least. “Just an experiment.” “An experiment?” His voice was dangerously low. “Yes, I want you Wyatt. In my bed and I think you want me too?” Maybe it was the two glasses of wine I had drank but I was feeling brave. “Or maybe you don’t,” I gave a shrug. “Liv.” His voice was tortured. “You are a beautiful woman.” “But?” I knew there was a but coming I could see it on his face. “But I’m not going to touch you.” “No?” I let my hand trail down from my throat , over my small breasts and his eyes followed the movement like I knew they would. “Oh.” I barely got the sound out before he was there. Strong hands pushing me back against the leather of my seat. His mouth crushed to mine and where my kiss had been exploratory and tentative, His was harsh. Demanding entry into my mouth his tongue pushed against my lips. One hand left my shoulder to tangle in my hair as our tongues met. And then he was gone again, leaving me plastered to the seat with my chest heaving. “Wyatt…” I wasn’t sure what had just happened? I hadn’t been sure since the moment I had sat at his feet. But I knew something was. “Get the f**k out of my car Olivia.” Whoa. My mouth fell open. “What?” “This isn’t Happening, whatever you think this is. Now get the f**k out of my car.” Tears sprang into my eyes but they weren’t because I was sad. Maybe I had two things on common with my parents, my anger. Go f**k yourself Wyatt.” I pushed open the door. “Don’t come back to the club.” I flipped him the bird as I walked away from the car, leaving the door wide open. Tonight had been one big f**k up from the moment I had left. He was Wyatt, what the hell had I been thinking trying to get him into bed? “Olivia.” His voice made me jump as I fumbled to get the key in the lock. Whirling I gave a little scream as his hulking shadow loomed just behind me. “What?” “s**t….” He swore under his breath as he stepped into my space, my back pressed against the door with his hands either side of my head. I was a tall girl but he Wyatt towered over everyone I knew. And he seemed even taller crowding my like this. “We can’t do this.” “Do what Wyatt? I was going home. You are the one who followed me up here.” Being this close to him was making breathing difficult. “We can’t.” He seemed to be talking more to himself. He was right though. We couldn’t. We shouldn’t. But god I wanted to. “Go inside and lock the door behind you Liv.” His voice was strangled. And my eyebrows shot up. “Why?” “Because I want nothing better then to peel you out of that dress Olivia and if I do that I’m gonna want you sat at my knee in the club. I’m gonna want to possess you.” “You said…” “I said no because this is wrong but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to f**k you against this door until your eyes roll back.” He stepped away. His hand ruffling his shock of white hair. “Wyatt.” My breath hitched as my core clenched. How long had it been since I had had a real good f**k? Too long. “But I won’t do that.” “I know.” I touched his chest under his jacket. “I know what you say is the right thing to do but I’ll still be imagining it’s your hand between my legs tonight.” I reached up and kissed his cheek. Then without looking back opened my door. Stepping foot into the familiar darkness I slammed it shut and threw the bolt.
