Olivia
“So … spill.”
Glancing down at my half eaten sandwich I blushed as my colleague stared across the table at me. How could I tell her, or anyone what had gone on Friday night? I didn’t even understand it myself but I did know I had been wildly inappropriate with my parents friend.
I just came so hard looking at looking at your picture.
That had been his text back and the thrill it had sent through me was like nothing I had ever felt. He was out of bounds, forbidden and that just made me want to be even more inappropriate with him even more.
Not that I could tell anyone else that. Not ever. And I couldn’t act on it. Wyatt would just have to be my dirty little fantasy.
“Nothing to tell.” I sipped at my ice tea, eyes finally meeting hers over the brim of the tall glass cup.
Mindy laughed. “Yeah ok whatever you say Olivia.” She rolled her eyes. ”you had a date didn’t you?”
I stared at her in shock , I had totally forgotten I had mentioned to her that I was going out when we left the school we both worked in on Friday.
And I knew Mindy, she was like a dog with a bone. She would not let this go. “With the hot blonde?”
I rolled my eyes. Yeah of course she would think Spencer was hot. He was. Tall, artfully styled blonde hair .
He was also boring.
And didn’t make my ladies parts clench at all.
“Yeah.” I admitted finally. ”Spencer.”
“And it was good?” She sipped her tea. Her eyes searching my face. “It was good right that’s why you have that just f****d flush to your cheeks.”
I laughed. Did I have a just f****d flush to me face? Not sure it was even possible when I hadn’t even been touched… by anyone but myself anyway.
“No no, it was a disaster. He ended up being escorted out of the club we were in.” There was no way in hell I was going to tell her what kind of club we had been in.
“And you didn’t go with him?”
“No, I saw someone I knew from…” my mind scrambled to find the right words. “I saw an old friend and he dropped me home. Was a perfect gentleman.”
She giggled. “Oh girl no man being a gentleman out that look in your eyes. Keep your secrets for now.- just tell me one thing are you gonna see him again?”
“No, well probably around you know.” I gave a shrug.
“Olivia.” The deep growl made me jump in my seat, iced tea sloshing over the rim of the cup and onto my gypsy blouse.
Mindys eyes grew saucer round as she stared up at Wyatt. And I knew it was him. Goosebumps erupted over my skin as I scraped back my chair to greet him. A blush heating my cheeks.
He looked different , a ball cap pulled low over his face, glasses covered his almost white eyes. He was dressed casual. Like really really casual. And it made him look young. More my age than my parents.
Although I wasn’t actually sure how old he was. He had dragons blood and dragons lived a long time.
“Wyatt.” Reaching up on tiptoes I brushed my lips across his cool cheek. “What are you doing here?”
He grinned , his hand on the tops of my arms. “Just taking a walk. You look beautiful Liv.” His eyes sparkled as they darted downwards. The tip of his tongue poking out between his lips. “Are you ladies enjoying the weather? It’s unusually warm
Isn’t it?”
Mindy nodded mutely. Her eyes never left us and they narrowed as I turned to introduce them and his hand slid to the small of my back. Her smile was knowing but I couldn’t think of that right now. I was trying not to hyperventilate.
“Mindy this is Wyatt, Wyatt my good friend Mindy. We work in the same school.”
“It’s great to meet you.” Wyatt barely looked at her, “well it’s been good to see you Liv.” He bent and put his lips to my ear , no easy feat when he was seven foot and I was in flip flops. “I can’t stop looking at your picture.”
I swallowed hard at his whispered words.
“So I take it that was the old friend you bumped into on Friday?”Mindy fanned herself as she watched his retreating back. “I can totally see why you have that look in your eyes now.”
