William Effort

"Go, hurry!" shouted Bill.

William stepped as fast as he could. He followed Bill's instructions not to turn his head and focus only on Nathan. His beloved son could be killed if he didn't realize who he was. He must survive and meet Nathan. It was the only way to keep his son safe.

Run... Run... Run...

Whatever sound was heard behind him, William didn't look back. It broke through the bush and across it a not-so-deep river. Just a little longer, he will arrive in the human world. Until there William will hide in a secret place and contact Dr. Richard.

As expected, soon he arrived at the main road. William immediately entered an empty house where he hid his cellphone and other important things such as a wallet.

William had to move quickly before the creature found him. Bill wouldn't be able to hold them back much longer. William immediately contacted Dr. Richard however is not connected. He repeated several times the same result. Finally he decided to contact Dr. Thomas.

"Will!?!" There was a voice on the other side.

"Did you meet Nathan recently?" William asked straight to the point.

"No. We were supposed to meet yesterday, but there was no one at your house. Did Nathan go somewhere?" asked Dr. Thomas.

"What? Are you sure he's not home?" he asked.

"Yes. I even tried to call on my cell phone but it didn't connect."

"Okay then, thank you," William said hanging up the phone.

William was getting worried when he heard Nathan wasn't home. He tried to call Nathan's cell phone, as Dr. Thomas, the number is unreachable. Then William remembered Max. He immediately called Nathan's friend's home phone and luckily it was immediately connected.

"Hello," a female voice said.

"Is this really Max's house?" he asked.

"Yes, I do. Who is this with?" asked the woman's voice.

"I'm William, Nathan's father is Nathan there?" he asked.

No answer. Only the sound of the disconnect code is heard. William looked at his cellphone, it was out of power. William searched for something in his bag, but a voice behind him caught his attention.

William saw a large black wolf staring at him. William knew it was no ordinary wolf, which was why William immediately ran along the road. He hoped that someone would pass by and help him. But the road was very quiet and no one was passing by.

"Don't kill me," William said as soon as his steps were blocked by the wolf easily.

"I have nothing to do with you guys, please," William said. He really hoped that something could make him run away.

Suddenly another wolf that had previously attacked William and Bill appeared behind the black wolf. William thought they were the same herd, but in fact the black wolf immediately turned around and showed hostility.

The black wolf howled in a voice that could make anyone's hairs stand on end. The atmosphere is very eerie. But the opportunity was not wasted Bill. He immediately ran away leaving the wolf. After some distance and arrived at a fork in the road. William saw a car passing by, he immediately asked the driver for a ride.

"Are you okay?" ask the vehicle owner.

"Yes, thank you." William was greatly helped. Without hesitation, he hoped the driver would take him to Max's house. He had to confirm Nathan's whereabouts.

During the trip, William didn't have much conversation. His mind was very confused and restless. Maybe because the owner of the car was aware of the situation. He turned on the radio to lighten the mood. It just so happened that the news that was read was the latest news. Even the news that was broadcast was discussing the deaths of several state officials as well as the deaths of several scientists and doctors. They also mention these names. One of them is Dr. Richard.

William was very surprised by the news. Moreover, it was stated that the cause of Richard's death was caused by bleeding caused by a tear in his stomach. He also suffered many scratches on his back and other parts of his body. Many thought it was the action of wild animals, but not a few guessed it was the work of mystical creatures and so on.

"Gosh, it looks like we're not safe outside. I thought there might be a lion or bear escaping from the zoo," said the driver.

William did not comment. Of course the government and the police will keep the exact cause of their death a secret. It's just, why Dr. Richard was killed? Was it all because of the past, or did they kill him for not telling where the Crystal Child was. This dangerous situation makes William want to meet Nathan even more.

"You've arrived," said the driver.

"Thank you, I hope I can repay your kindness next time," William said after going downstairs and closing the door.

After the car left, William immediately headed for Max's house. He knocked repeatedly until the door finally opened. Someone appeared at the door.

"Who are you?" William asked as soon as he saw the unknown man in front of him.

"I?" The man smiled faintly, then whispered in William's ear, "your death."

William immediately turned around. How surprised he was. The place that once looked like Max's house has now turned into an unknown stranger. No wonder the journey from the forest to Max's house felt so fast. Either it was due to an illusion or because the rider was a part of them.

"What do you want from me?" William finally asked.

The man laughed.

"Where's the kid?" asked the man.

"Whose child? My wife is barren. We have no children," William tried to evade.

"Don't you dare lie to me. You think I don't know if your wife made a pact with the Myth tribe to exterminate us," said the pale-faced man while strangling William's neck.

William felt his throat choking so hard he could hardly breathe.

"You will perish," William said in what remained of his difficulty speaking.

Out of anger the man threw William easily. William bounced quite a distance and hit a brittle rock which fell directly on his body.

"I heard that a crystal child can be killed before he turns into a crystal knight. So don't worry about me." The man laughed.

William rubbed his neck which was slightly scratched by the man's long nails. Hearing the words of the man in front of him, William believed they had planned many things to get his son killed.

"You know. Not all humans are on the side of the truth. They can be bought by money. Our plan to rule the human world would be very easy. But in order to achieve all that, we have to kill that kid. He's just a hindrance to us. easy to achieve. Not only the human world. Three worlds will kneel at my feet," said the man while laughing in a very terrible voice.
