57. What Did You Do?

The next days go the same way.

Nikolas and Elek are in the room with the desks.

"Hi babygirl. How you doing?"

"I need off this boat."

"Another 2 days or so. I know it's a long trip."

"I am so tired of seeing this boat."

Elek smiles. "It would be neat if we had 1 of those virtual reality things here. Even if it was 1 program. Give us something different to do. I don't know how many more hands of poker I can play."

I nod and sit on the couch. "What are you guys doing?"

"China resort."

"Looking for stuff we can negotiate to put in the packages." Elek winks.

"Finding anything good?"

"A lot of the same. Kids club, some different food, food plans. I want to try the carriages and donkeys or mules. He'll own them, so maybe we can get them for the packages."

"He likes me. I might get a good deal. Keep Marcus away though."

They both laugh.

Nik nods. "It'll probably end up being Tre and Marcus negotiating everything again. I don't care about pizza vouchers. I'll give them to you."

"We'll have to use Marcus again. You're like Tye. You'll give me anything. But I don't want you to lose money. That's not fair."

"Come check out the final spa layout and I got the spa suites laid out too. Let me know if you see any issues."

"They look good. What did you end up putting under the outdoor spa balcony?"

"Outdoor eating area. The indoor dining room is right there. So I added a couple of doors and extended them outside."

"That was perfect."

Nik kisses my head. "Why don't you sell the bubble baths in the resorts?"

Elek smiles. "You know someone will put that in the pools. Either in the spa or in the actual pool. I mean, could you imagine Tye's rapids with bubble bath?"

"That would be fun. Fighting through the bubbles to find the end." I nod fast. "I'm going to do that."

Nik shakes his head. "No. It would be a mess."

"I was going to warn you about Dipak coming. But you're good. What are you talking about?" Thora sits on the couch with me.

"Putting a bottle of my bubble bath in Tye's rapids."

She cracks up laughing. "Let's do it."

Nikolas crosses his arms. "Why are you warning her he's coming?"

"Because he's an asshole."

He nods slow.

Then Coral runs in all freaked out. "Oh never mind."

The door flies open and hits Coral.

"Why did you run in here?"

"WHY DID YOU HIT ME WITH THE DOOR ASSHOLE?"

"I didn't know you ran in and stopped. Why was it so important to get in here?"

"I need to put my opinion for the spa rooms. They need it. I didn't want to miss the chance."

"Ok. I'm sorry I hit you with the door."

Nikolas sits up. "Who did you think she was in here alone with?"

I point at Elek. "They won't let me get in trouble. But they also don't leave much time for changing anything. Dipak is usually right behind them. As you saw."

Nik and Elek laugh.

Nik shakes his head. "You don't laugh at that." Then Elek cracks up.

I smile at them. They are funny together.

"You don't have to tell your mates everything you know. You are allowed some secrets. You didn't have to tell him that."

"Eh. I'm not going to lie." I shrug my shoulders. "They figure out the truth anyway, and then I get in trouble for lying."

Coral nods. "Some of them are kind of sneaky and smart."

"Yea."

Nik smirks. "Do they warn you when you're with Tobias too?"

I point at Coral.

"That guy is a f*****g i***t. He can get thrown out another window for all I care. I'm not going to let him be alone with Nadine ever. For any amount of time."

Thora smiles. "I like his beard."

Coral stares at me. "You haven't been alone with him on the ship have you?"

"Maybe for like 5 minutes. We talked about Mayan people."

She puts her hands on her hips. "That is too long. Mind link me if you ever walk in a room, and he is alone in it. I will come and talk about the Mayan people with you."

I nod fast. "I can do that."

"You better or I'll tell Dipak."

Thora jumps up. "WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS TELLING DIPAK ON EVERYTHING SHE DOES?"

"OH PLEASE. I DON'T TELL HIM EVERYTHING SHE DOES. JUST WITH THAT i***t. HE CAN'T BE TRUSTED. YOU SAW HOW HE WAS WHEN SHE WAS DRUNK."

"Yea, I guess that's true."

I smile at Nik. "Did that answer your question?"

"Yea, that cleared that up."

"I am so bored."

"Me too. I am ready to get off this boat. OH, I KNOW." I jump up.

Thora jumps up. "WHAT?"

"LET'S GO DRIVE THE BOAT."

Nikolas looks at Coral. "What are they planning?"

"I have no idea."

Thora grabs my arm. "Let's get Tye."

"What are you 2 doing?"

"Tell them about your spa idea's Coral." Thora and I take off down the hallway.

We run to Tye's room and knock on the door.

He opens it. We push him in and shut the door behind us.

"We have an idea."

"We drive the boat after dinner and go super fast. I am so tired of being on this boat, Tye."

"They won't let us unless at least 1 of you are with us. You have to help. Please help. We're dying."

"You're lucky I'm tired of poker."

"We should take naps, so we can stay up as late as we can."

"I'll go take a nap now. Wake me up for dinner." She takes off out the door.

"I'm going to sleep, Tye." I jump into bed.

"I'll set myself up to drive tonight. Then I'll come back and take a nap with you babydoll."

"Thank you, Tye."

10 minutes later, he comes back, and I am staring at the ceiling.

"What's wrong?"

"I can't sleep."

He smirks and takes his shirt off. Then he drops his pants. "Oh, I'll put you to sleep babydoll."

He is not wrong. 45 minutes later, I am sound asleep with his mark on my boob.

A couple of hours after dinner, we are flying on the water.

7 hours later. Thora spots a light reflecting in the water.

Tye puts the sails up. "You 2 go to bed. I'll send a servant to wake you up at noon. As long as you go to lunch, no one will think anything. You can always go back to sleep after that if your still tired."

He comes to bed about 20 minutes later. "Kane took over for me."

I pull him into my arms and we fall asleep.

We get to the deck about 3:30. Nik and Elek are driving. "I'm going to work in the office a bit. I need a break from the sun."

"Alright. We'll try not to sink us."

"The sun is bad in the afternoons. We should come up with some way to get shade up here. At least some."

Tye nods. "Oh I have an idea." He runs below deck too.

I drop another sail. "Sorry but I have to get off this boat soon, or I'll die of boredom."

"Yea I can understand that. It's amazing to be able to do this. But after so many days it's very hard."

I wiggle between Elek and the wheel. He wraps his arms around me and lets me steer. Then he kisses my shoulder and hugs me. "I want to talk to you, Nadine. I just don't know where to start."

I lean against him and feel his muscles relax.

I like being in his arms. I turn around and hug him. He kisses me so gently. I love his lips on mine.

"Boy, you have to drive the boat when you're up here."

We both jump.

"Sorry Uncle."

"I'll take over. You're obviously delirious from the sun. Kissing her up here like that. Next time, focus on the driving part, so we don't end up going backwards, and you don't end up dead."

"Ok. Thank you." We run for it.

Dipak is standing there when we get to the activity level. "What are you 2 doing?"

"Samson took over driving, but I thought Tye was coming back. He said he had an idea for making the wheel in shade."

"That would be nice. I think he's in the office." We follow Dipak to the office.

"What was your idea for putting the wheel in the shade?"

"No, I had an idea for the China resort. Not that. Whose driving the boat?"

"Samson."

Dipak looks around. "Let's see if we can come up with a way to put the wheel in the shade. That sun is f*****g hot. Any more than an hour about burns a person up."

I run for it. This does not sound fun.

Tobias is reading in the bar.

"You know we have a library."

"Yea but I would rather play poker than read. So I read here until people show up."

"That does work. We should try to learn a new card game. I think everyone is bored with poker." I sit on the couch with him.

"I know a couple. But I don't know if I know them well enough to teach them. Maybe we can find a book about card games in the library."

"You are full of good ideas."

"What brings you in here?"

"The boys are trying to make shade for the wheel. That doesn't seem fun."

"Yea, that'll be nice if they can get it shaded. All my shirts are thick. I about die up there."

I feel the arm of his shirt. "Why don't you use the thinner kind? They're in the closet. You can grab a few."

"The what?"

"We never gave you a tour, did we?"

"I've roamed around a bit."

"I'll show you the closet and explain how it works."

I show him how it works.

"I'm sorry I pulled on you when you were a wolf. I didn't want you to get in trouble. I wasn't trying to hurt you."

"I noticed that. Even when Tre asked what happened, you left that part out." I shrug my shoulders. "Sometimes they do get mad about stupid s**t. Tre just wanted to watch Elek get his balls headbutted though."

He cracks up laughing. "That would have been worth seeing."

"No, I kicked him once by accident. I don't think I'd want to do that again to anyone."

"What happened?"

"His brother was in my medical area. He woke up while I was standing there with Elek. He grabbed onto me and pulled me towards him. My feet flew up, and I kicked Elek right in the balls."

"Did he get mad at you?"

"No. He hobbled around and sat down. I could tell it hurt. So anyway. These are the closets and I think you have a good idea of how they work."

"Yes, thank you. These clothes will be a lot nicer. And is this whole level shared?"

"Yep. Every room is something. The bar, dining room, 2 closets, 2 shower rooms, office, library, conference room, a few activity rooms. The office it's nice to knock on, but really, it's not made for that."

"Everyone uses the office?"

"No. Dipak has his own office. And Tre has part of his room set up as an office. It kind of depends on how their rooms are set up. Nikolas has been using this 1 a lot." We walk in. "Sometimes you'll catch someone in here working. I think they're up on the deck now."

"And there's a conference room too, but it's access list only?"

"Yea, we moved the conference stuff out when we turned into wolves. It gives us somewhere to practice naked without getting walked in on." I shrug my shoulders.

"Makes sense. You said they turn their rooms into offices somehow?"

"Yea, I'll show you." He follows me to the room maker room. I pull out the books. "This has the layouts of all the rooms. This has all the furniture options. The furniture is numbered. So, find your room. These are the spaces you can put stuff. This corner can have a 1 furniture. Back to the furniture book, you can pick any number 1 thing to go in that spot."

"This is genius."

"Thora came up with it. Our advisor apartments are like this too. It works for us. I'll show you a room with the office stuff in it. That way you can see how it goes together."

We go to an empty room and look around. He really likes the office in it.

"Thank you. This helped. Especially the lighter clothes."

"You're welcome. I'm sorry no one gave you a tour or explained anything earlier."

"At least I have 1 now." He smiles and opens the door. He puts his hand on my back and guides me out.

"WHAT DID YOU DO?" Coral is pissed.

I point at the room. "I was..."

"NO. I AM TELLING DIPAK RIGHT NOW." She grabs my arm and pulls me.

"CORAL KNOCK IT OFF."

"NO."

"She was just..."

"You'll make it worse. Go look at what we were talking about. I need 15 minutes before they stop trying to kill you."
