21. Bright Pink

We check out the stores after food.
I see the most amazingly amazing bright pink coat. It's so poufy. I try to run in and Tre stops me. "That's for kids."
"I'm little." I run as fast as I can.
"Can she wear stuff in here or is it only smaller sizes?"
She gets up and grabs a coat. "This is our biggest size. We'll just have to check."
The thing is huge on me. "It's kind of big."
"Yea, that is a little loose. We'll try a smaller size."
We get another on me and I jump up and down.
"She needs everything to be outside playing."
"Ok, I'll get it around. She can stay and pick the colors." She smiles at me. "You can pick anything but white or really light colors. We try not to stock them, but sometimes they sneak in."
"Why?"
"They won't be able to see you sweetie. You'll blend right in with the snow."
"Very good camouflage."
Tre laughs. "Thank you. Bill the ship."
"Of course. You like the bright pink?"
"Yes, I want everything that."
She chuckles. "I will get everything ready. You go over to that side. You will need a couple of pairs of long pants. And a few long sleeve shirts. And grab 3 pairs of thick socks. Then I'll help you with the boots."
I get everything she said in the same bright pink color. The pants and shirts are tight and stretchy. It's quite different.
"Good job. Now we need boots. Follow me."
She puts a couple of pairs on me. Then brings me a bright pink pair.
"Now let's put it together and make sure we don't forget anything. You are going to go in that little room over there and put on pants, shirt, and big socks. Then come back."
I change in record time.
I put on these really thick pants. Then she does something and straps go over my shoulders to keep the pants up. It's different. Then she helps me get on the thick pink coat. After that, it's 2 pairs of gloves. One is tight and stretchy. The other is big and thick. Then she puts a tight hat over my head with a part that goes over my nose and mouth. She stuffs it in the coat and then pulls the hood of the coat up and fastens it under my chin. Then she puts thick glasses on my face, they stick to my face and they're huge. I don't really care for them. Then she guides me to a chair and puts the boots on my feet.
I hug myself. "I am so warm."
"Yes, this will keep you warm out there. Do you want a sled or skis?"
"In pink."
She laughs. "Of course."
She comes back with 2 flat sticks that are as tall as me and a round hard thing. "Now the tubes, anyone can use. So, I didn't get you a tube. But you have everything else. I'll send the extra stuff to your room for later or tomorrow."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. The man you came in with is probably 2 stores that way." I take off running as best as I can. Kind of waddling fast with 2 large sticks and a pink shield thing.
The boys have pants and boots on. They are putting coats on. Their outfits are multicolored. I waddle up to them. They stare at me and try not to laugh.
"Did you like the pink, sweetheart?" I nod fast.
Marcus smiles. "We are surely not going to lose you."
Tre winks. "You're adorable, baby. You don't have to wear that inside though."
"I want to go outside. I ate. It's my turn."
"Let us get done, and we can go check out stuff."
"Ok."
Future Marcus comes in with the lady who sold me my stuff.
"She left her dress over there. I had already sent the extra stuff up to her room."
Tre takes it. "Ok thank you."
Future Marcus rubs his eyes. Then he smiles. "You are so damn precious." I smile big. "I was here to tell you not to buy skis and sleds, but she got them already. I do see they match though, that was needed. Did you get everything out of the kids' store?"
"Yes."
"Kids stuff is always cheaper anyway."
Tre kisses my head. "I'm taking your skis and sled up to the room. We can still do everything, but you don't need to carry them around."
"We can start on the tube slides now, babydoll. Me and Johen are ready."
We spend all day sledding and skiing. They have a chair thing that keeps taking us back to the top. So that is amazing. Then I go down those tubes on slides so many times.
After a late lunch, Dipak walks me around the whole building. We find pools behind the building. I stare at them for a long time. People are in them in swimsuits. "How?"
"They're heated. See the steam coming up. Connect Marcus and tell him to come back here. He'll want to see it."
I connect with the mind link. I couldn't even unbury my arms right now if I had to.
"Hi Angel." Dipak hugs me and puts his cheek against mine.
"Dipak said come here and see this."
"You 2 went out the back door of the lobby, right?"
"Yea."
"Ok. I'll be there in 1 minute."
I disconnect it. "Could you hear him?"
"Nope. I guess we can only do that with the feathers."
"I like the feathers more. You get in my head and don't tell me. How do you not have thoughts? I constantly have thoughts. About everything. My brain is always thinking. But you keep your brain silent."
He smirks. "You were thinking about making your boobs sexy baby. My brain wasn't even working after hearing you think like that. I was picturing your boobs. That was it. Nothing else existed. The building could have burnt down, and I would still have been sitting there picturing your boobs."
I crack up laughing.
Marcus comes out. "Oh wow."
"Figured you would want to see it."
"I'm surprised you're not in there, angel."
"I'm stuck in this."
He winks. "I'm going to send a couple pairs of adult skis and a few sleds to the room as well. I need to figure out how to make them."
Dipak nods. "Yea I thought about that as well. We'll pay for them when we get back if he has a fit."
"He didn't care that I did it. I'll do it and say my sled hurt my butt, it was too small. As long as they have pink it's fine."
"He does let her get away with anything."
"Yea, he can't say no. To him, she is the most precious, innocent being ever made. She only needs cuddles and candy."
I smile. "And teddy bears. I like him."
"I'm sure you do, sweetheart." We go to the front of the building. We get to the side I see the weirdest thing ever. I stare. It's a frozen pool with people sliding on it. They have weird shoes on. I run for it.
I hit the ice and fall straight on my ass.
"I NEED THE SHOES."
"Over there angel."
I run in. "I NEED PINK."
Marcus and Dipak lose it.
"I'll get them for you."
The boys go over to another lady and talk to her.
The first 1 comes back with my shoes. They are all pink with a silver blade on the bottom. "They are dulled down already, but you still have to be careful, that is still a blade."
"Ok."
She helps me switch my shoes. I run back out and fall promptly on my ass. And now I can't even get up.
The boys pick me up. They get me back on my feet. Dipak is carrying my boots.
Every time I try to move, I nearly flip. Eventually, Dipak pulls me around. They both got regular shoes on.
My other boys and Elek and Elroy come over after about half an hour.
Dipak pushes me towards them. "I'M DOING IT. LOOK. LOOK. I'M ICE SKATING." Then I fall on my ass. They all crack up laughing.
I crawl to the edge and sit on my knees.
"Butt hurt yet angel?"
"A little bit." I see a girl jump and do a spin in the air and land behind Marcus and Dipak. My eyes about pop out. "LOOK."
They both turn around and watch. She goes around the pool a couple of times. Then she does another jump and spin. It is so amazing. She is so graceful.
"I'm going to try." I put my arms up and Tye puts me on my feet. I make it about 2 feet.
"I think you need a little more practice being upright, babydoll."
They take me on the mountain again. I get to ski and sled with them. Then I ride the tubes down the slides some more. A few hours later, we go in for dinner.
Dipak pulls everything off me. 15 minutes later, he finally gets me down to the pants, shirt, and socks.
Elroy laughs. "Every single layer is pink."
The cook gives me some mac and cheese. I eat about half, then Johen catches me. He puts me back on the seat.
I wobble around.
Marcus smiles. "That one is done."
"I'M NOT TIRED."
"Stay up as late as you want, angel."
I nod.
