35. Bang

I give Thora the towel for Ana.
Nikolas puts his arm around me and walks in with me. "Will you go to dinner with me?"
"I would love to."
"Island food?"
"Yes please."
He makes us a door to the island. Dipak's feather flashes.
"Hi love."
"Hi sweetheart. Where you at?"
"Tye's island with Nikolas. We're going to eat here."
"You 2 have fun."
"We will. I love you."
"I love you too, sweetheart." He disconnects the feather for once.
We eat at the normal spot. Then we talk for a bit. It's nice. We take a walk on the beach.
We hold hands and walk with our feet in the water. I steal a couple of kisses and hugs from him.
"What's wrong, Nikolas?"
"I know I hurt you. I hurt everyone. Thank you for giving me a chance to fix it. I've always loved sitting and talking with you. Or taking a walk. I love this so much."
I wrap my arms around his waist. "I love it too. I love spending time with you."
He kisses my head. I can tell there's something else.
"I hate not having a bond with you. I know I did it. I caused it. I broke it." He takes my hands. "I promise I am not going anywhere. I am here forever. I will do whatever it takes to fix this. I love you so much. It bothers me. Feels like you are more connected to Elek or Tobias than you are to me."
I put my arms around his neck and pull him in for a kiss. "I love you too, Nikolas. And I'm not going anywhere either. We will fix this. And I'm not connected to either of them more than you. The bonds are stuck again."
"Do you have a bond with either of them?"
"No."
I feel him relax, and then he kisses me. It was bothering him. That makes me love him a little more. He wants his bond back.
"Were you thinking that I didn't care about you?" I rub his cheek.
His eyes fill with tears and he looks away.
"Nikolas, I will always care about you. Even when everything was happening. I still loved you. I still thought about you. I missed you. I couldn't do that to myself again. If I have to walk away from someone, I will. But that doesn't mean I don't care. It was like with my brother. I loved my brother, but he kept trying to kill me. I had to be done. I still miss him. I love him. I still think about him. I have to go forward."
"You are so unbelievably strong."
"So are you." He shakes his head. "Yea you are. You lived through hell to get to me. You never gave up. I know you never will." I give him another kiss. "Take some time. Relax. Give yourself some time to understand the war is over."
"Now I get the woman of my dreams. My queen. We can work on this slowly and easily."
"I like the sound of that, sir." I give him the biggest hug. I love him.
-BANG-
Nikolas drops to the ground. "NIKOLAS." I connect every feather at once. "NIKOLAS. WAKE UP." I try shaking him. My dragon starts trying to come forward, and I try to push her back.
"Where angel?"
"Out the front and turn left. On the beach. We're far."
"Ok."
"WAKE UP." I pull my hands back and there's blood on them. I see it in the moonlight. It's a lot. "AAAAAHHHHHHH!"
Then something hard hits me right across the face.
I don't care. I push the dragon back again and grab Nikolas. "WAKE UP."
"He's dead b***h. Like you're about to be." I feel my nose break and the blood come pouring out. Then I get slammed down on my ass in the sand.
"I bet this w***e is going to like what we do to her." A man falls on top of me and rips my bikini bottoms off. He backhands me across the face.
"NNNOOOOO!" I put my thumbs in his eyeballs.
He hits me in the face. "YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THAT BITCH."
I knee him in the crotch. He grabs his d**k and I shove him off me. Another 1 grabs me and immediately lights on fire. Then he gets tackled by a 1,000-pound dragon.
The fire lights up everything and I see at least 10 men. But my boys are here. Even Elek and Tobias are here. I spin in a circle and see daddy and Dracul pull someone apart.
I run to Nikolas. "WAKE UP." I shake him again.
A door appears out of nowhere. Then Omar picks up Nikolas. "MAKE THE DOOR TO THE MEDICAL AREA."
Omar walks in with Nikolas. Tye pushes me through it too.
"GET HIM IN TRAUMA 1. CRUOR NOW." Vitchen and Elkie run into the trauma room with Cruor behind them.
I hit my knees and cry. "Please let him be ok."
Dorseti picks me up. "Let's clean you up." She gets me into a nurse dress and I get some underwear on. Then I sit on the nurse's desk.
The boys come in slow. Mostly they roam around or sit on the floor. Dorseti washes my face off until Tre takes over.
Dipak and Marcus come in last. "What happened sweetheart?"
"I don't know. There was a loud bang and he dropped. There was blood. They were hitting me. 1 of them threw me down. The dragon was trying to come out, but I wanted to get to Nikolas. He ripped my underwear off. I shoved my fingers in his eyes. He hit me. I kneed him in the balls and got away."
"Good girl. Do you remember anything else?"
"It was a bang and he dropped. I was hugging him. He never moved after that. There was so much blood. We were walking on the beach talking."
Tre kisses my head. "You did good baby. You fought so hard. We are proud of you."
"You're free to go. You don't have to sit here."
Not 1 person moves.
Victor and Corbin come in.
Dorseti sits on the desk beside me. "This is cold. It will help with the swelling. Why isn't the dragon healing it this time?"
"Because she could have prevented it." I put a cold rag on my eye. "I need to be in there." I hop off the desk and nearly fall.
Dipak sits me back on the desk. "You can't, sweetheart. Let Cruor do this."
Dorseti rubs my hair. "I'm surprised you can even see. Your eyes are swelling so badly. Try asking the dragon to heal them."
I shake my head.
Dipak kisses my head. "Dragon, will you heal her please? She doesn't deserve to feel this pain."
I cry and nod.
Tre hugs me. "No you don't baby." He kisses the other side of my head and the pain fades away.
I don't know how long we sit and wait. It seems like years.
Finally, Cruor walks out. "He'll be alright. He was shot through the heart. Once I got him open and got the ball out, the dragon was able to heal his heart. I put him out for 2 days because his entire chest was open. I couldn't chance him waking up before the dragon could heal everything."
Dorseti and Elkie sit with me on the desk for a while. The boys get Nikolas moved up to a royal room. But Cruor won't let me stay with his chest being opened. Tre carries me home with him for the night.
I wake up so many times. Tre has to get Dipak, so I can sleep between the 2 of them. I keep dreaming about being attacked or someone shooting 1 of the boys. I can not get comfortable or sleep.
The morning is hell. I'm afraid of either 1 of them leaving my sight. Dipak goes home to take a shower and get dressed. All I do is cry the whole time he's gone.
Tre washes me off and puts me in a human dress. Then he combs my hair and carries me to the morning room.
He leaves me on his lap.
Tye is on the couch. He's reading a paper.
I wiggle off Tre and run over to Tye. I straddle him and lay my head on his chest. He's so warm. I snuggle him, and he rubs my back.
A couple of hours later, we're still in the same spot. Tye is reading his papers. No one else is in the room. I stretch big. "Good morning."
"Good morning babydoll. You want to go up to my office with me?"
"Yes."
He sits at his conference table. I move a seat as close as I can to him, then I sit beside him. He kisses my head.
I don't say anything. I watch him work for an hour.
"You getting hungry babydoll?" I shake my head. "Let me know if you need anything."
"I got the price list you wanted."
Tye takes papers from Johen.
I hold my arms up and he takes me. I wrap around him and lay my head on his shoulder.
"You want to sit with me for a bit?"
"Yes please."
"Ok."
"She hasn't eaten anything yet. But don't force it. You'll end up causing a melt down. Let her relax."
Johen carries me to his office and sits at his desk with me. I sit on his lap the right way and watch out the door and watch what he's doing. After an hour, I put my feet on the desk and my dress comes up.
He tickles my belly. "You can't sit like that goofy. Everyone will see your underwear."
I crack up laughing and put my feet down. Then I pull my dress up. Every time I show my underwear, he tickles me and I crack up laughing.
Then Tobias comes in and he makes me sit right. I sit up on his lap more and make stars on a piece of paper. They have a whole conversation and I don't hear a word of it.
Tobias looks at me. "What do you think?"
"You say too many words. You're like Dipak."
Johen squeezes me. "Be nice hun."
I slam myself back against him.
"Do you need a nap?"
"NO NAP."
"Straighten up."
I start crying.
"What's going on? Are you bored angel? Want to come help me for a little bit?"
I raise my arms. He picks me up and I wrap around him.
"She hasn't eaten yet."
He tickles me. "You need to eat little 1. You want some cheese pizza?"
I shake my head.
"We'll have to come up with something."
We get to his office and I sit with him the same way I was with Johen. I show my underwear and my shoes fall off a million times. He plays with me the whole time. Then Tye and Tobias sit across from him. He tries to give them attention and I want it all. I drop my shoes and wiggle around. He ignores everything. Then I lift my dress a little. "I will smack your butt."
I start crying as Elek walks in. "Oh sorry. I didn't know you were busy."
"Come here. Tell a brain somewhere else you need this." He hands him the piece of paper.
Elek walks out and I cry again.
"You want to eat?"
"NO."
"You better straighten up."
"She's bored."
"I know this. But we can't entertain her every minute of the day."
"BEAR." I jump up and run for Elek. I squeeze bear so tight.
"Careful you'll squeeze his head right off." I shake my head. "I don't know how to sew, so don't come crying to me with a bear head. Do you need a food?"
"NO NAP." Then I stare at him.
Marcus, Tye, and Tobias start laughing.
Marcus smiles. "I think he tricked you on that 1."
Elek nods. "So you don't want food, you want a nap? Or do you want food but not a nap? Food or nap, I can't figure out what you want."
"EGGS."
He smirks. "You want eggs and toast?"
"Can I have strawberries too?"
"Of course. Milk or juice?"
"Milk." I follow him to my office.
I sit beside him at the conference table. I sit super close. The brains bring the food in, and I sit and eat. He eats with me but he has grapes. I keep stealing them when he's not looking.
"Little girl, did you steal my grape?"
I crack up laughing. He pretends to look away and I steal another. He looks back fast, and I throw it back at his plate.
"Well that wasn't obvious or anything... There went a grape bouncing across the whole table."
I laugh so hard.
"You want to watch the pirate movie? I still haven't seen more than 5 minutes of that."
"Yes. That's my favorite."
"I'll get it set up. You tell the brain what snacks we need."
I tell the brain everything. Then I sit on his lap.
He puts his arms around me and relaxes.
I drop bear a couple of times, and he picks it up. Then he catches onto the game and makes me laugh. He puts a bear in his shirt. "Bear can't escape from here."
I wiggle bear out and drop it. Then I crack up laughing.
He picks bear up for the 300th time. "You can't sit like that. I'll see your underwear."
I move the dress up, and he puts his eyebrows up. I crack up laughing. Then we play the underwear game for a while.
I wake up on his chest a couple of hours later. I wiggle around and he wakes up with me. We're still alone and the movies over.
I try to kiss him, but he moves his head. "Where's bear?"
I panic for a second, but then I find bear. I sit up and snuggle it. I guess he doesn't like my kisses. I thought he did.
I jump up. "I'm going to see Dipak."
"I'll be in here."
I run for the elevator with bear.
