As the small, fragile figure wandered the night she thought about all the lives she took, yet kept her hands somehow clear. Valeire hoped that the m******e on Easter week will finally open the corrupt souls eyes'. Unfortunately, they didn't learn from the lesson. This time, she decided to place a time bomb into those priests and higher ups who she knew for sure that they were deep into darkness. If they cannot change... Let's change their source of faith. Valerie stopped in front of the largest cathedral she had ever seen. Each time she was amazed at how thoughtfully and how long it took to build these majestic structures. Ever since she had been on this road, she had been saddened to see these wonders standing unused and housing scums, who would take up space even in hell. Miserable, weak, cowardly vermin who prey and enjoy themselves on the weak. Valerie took one last look at the carefully crafted mosaic windows. Next to the door, St Nicholas was weeping, his hands clasped in prayer. Oh... The irony. Valerie thought. Assuming Dianne's form, she swung open the huge oak doors and walked in. Her footsteps echoed in the vast space, moments that made her realize how small and insignificant people are in the eyes of God. And yet how humiliatingly they worship to get closer to him. With high buildings, with faithful prayers, avoiding sins, confessing the smallest of their sins, all for what? To pray in the jaws of death, and their pleads fall on deaf ears. A young altar boy rushed up to greet her respectfully. Valerie bowed a bit to the boy and asked.
- Where is the Bishop?- the boy shivered at the question, and then looking down at the ground, he said.
- Please, follow me.- Valerie followed the boy through the double doors behind the altar and into a long corridor with carved glass windows. At the end of the corridor, the boy stopped and pointed to a blackened door. Before Valerie put her hand on the handle, she turned to the boy and asked.
- If you could decide his fate, what would be the verdict? -he grabbed nervously the sleeves of his robe and didn't look into Valerie's eyes. She gently put two fingers under his chin and lifted his glance at her. Dianne flashed her golden eyes and repeated the question.
-If you could decide his fate, what would be the verdict? - he stared into her eyes and said.
- I'd let him live. - Valerie looked confused. She knew for fact that the bishop molested the young men and also tortured those who didn't agree with his perverted hobbies or didn't obey him. The boy smiled.
- I'd let him live long enough to experience all of his worst nightmares. - Dianne looked pensive at the boy and pat the top of his head.
- I'll offer this to him and we will see what he chooses. You know, free will and stuff. - she turned to the door and entered. Inside it was exactly what Valerie expected. The bishop had incredible pain in his eyes but he couldn't scream. His voice was probably long gone. Valerie looked around the luxurious room and pulled a golden painted chair in front of the bishop. Her blue eyes turned red and her light brown hair into a dark one. She touched one of the roots that already grew out of the Bishop's arms and the roots dissolved. A tear fall from his eyes and he could speak, harshly and in a low voice.
- Who are you? - Valerie elbowed on top of the mahogany desk and rested her beautiful face in her hands before she answered.
- I'm a dream. It only depends on you what kind of a dream I am.
- I'd do whatever you want! Do you want money? I have! Do you want lands? Power? Slaves? Men? Women? Just name it! - Valerie's smile widened into a wicked grin.
- Confess your sins, Father. - she said and the man looked terrified. Valerie laughed.
- I'm not God! Yet... But I can definitely help or destroy you. It is simple, what have you done? - he took a deep breath and Valerie could tell by the look on his face that he tried to guess what is his best option.
- I have sinned. I have enjoyed the pleasures of the body and got greedy due to the treasures of the world. Please forgive my sins! - Valerie leaned closer and put her hand on his arms. The roots turned back into veins and the bishop smiled with relief. But Valerie had one more question.
- Why did you do all these things, Father, if you knew it well that they are deadly sins? - he looked into Valerie's eyes and said.
- The Devil made me do it! Valerie deepened her nails into the arms of the Bishop. He screamed loudly in pain but Valerie technically nailed him to his desk with her claws. In an alluring voice she said.
- Wrong answer. - that moment the blood of the bishop started to rush in his veins until the walls of his arteries couldn't held it anymore. All of his blood vessels exploded painting the white walls crimson red. Valerie turned back into Dianne and opened the door casually. The boy still stood there. His eyes widened at the sight of the blood but he bowed and said.
- Thank you, my Goddess. - Dianne pat his head and blessed the boy woth her still bloody hands.
- May the blood and suffering for your enemy cleanse your soul. Mey your future be bright till you step on the wrong track. - the boy nodded and ran away. Valerie sighed and vanished before the priests could have arrived. While she walked home all she could think of was a warm bath tp get rid of the blood. She didn't expect Lucifer to be there, having a tea party with Belyar. When he saw her, Lucifer walked towards her and Valerie's heart skipped a beat as he grabbed her by her shoulder's. There was something unexplainable in his eyes that made her blush when Lucifer asked in a low growling voice.
- Who did this to you?! - he asked in a demanding voice and she couldn't held he giggle back. This whole scene felt like those popular romance books she managed to read in the past. With a mischievous smile she grabbed Lucifer's, perfectly done tie and said in a low, teasing voice.
- Try to rephrase this question Lucy... Whom you did this to? - He kept holding her shoulders and Valerie's pupils widened.
- It's not your blood. - Lucifer said in an emotionless voice and Valerie couldn't hold herself back. She got on her tip toes and in a higher, cooing voice she asked.
- Oh... Were you worried? How cute! - Lucifer looked at her arrogantly.
- Yes. - He released her shoulders and Valerie felt a strange coldness where his hands were previously. Lucifer crossed his arms in front of his chest and lifted his head.
- I was worried that you fled and won't keep your word! - Valerie frowned at him and poked his chest with her right index finger, while her left hand was on her thin waits.
- How come you to accuse me?! - Lucifer brushed her finger off of his chest and laughed.
- Why wouldn't I? You are literally the sneakiest creature I've ever met!
- It's because you haven't met a friend of mine! - Valerie stormed to her room, grabbed a small mirror from the dresser and walked back showing Lucifer his reflection.
-Lucy meet Lucy! - Lucifer grinned.
- Hey handsome fella! What you doing later? - Valerie rolled her eyes and Lucifer gently pulled the mirror away.
- Would you two join me tomorrow night? - Belyar looked interested.
- What is happening tomorrow? - Valerie asked and Belyar chuckled.
- New Year's Eve, My Lady. - Valerie blushed a bit and Lucifer found her adorable. Even in this state, covered in blood from head to toe.
- Is there some special way you usually celebrate? Like these Christmas traditions. - Lucifer asked and Valerie got excited.
- We always had a nice dinner and danced with my family, and at midnight we made a toast also, made a New Year's vow. - Lucifer looked a bit confused and seek help from Belyar.
- A New Year's vow is a promise to ourselves what we will try to accomplish during next year. - Lucifer's eyes wondered at Valerie and he smiled.
- Sounds like a plan! So, would you join me tomorrow? - he asked and held Valerie's bloody hand.
- Why not!? - Valerie said and Lucifer kissed the top of her hand. His lips turned red from the blood.
-Splendid! - he said and licked the blood off of his lips.
- There's nothing that tastes better than sinner's blood. Who got him? - he asked from Valerie but she was too focused on Lucifer's lips to notice the question until Belyar coughed. She shook her head in embarrassment.
- Nobody. - Lucifer walked pass her and whispered into her ear.
- Next time, don't forget about your puppet my High Lady! - he walked out of the door leaving the blushing Valerie inside. Lucifer put his hands in his pockets and walked away. He noticed the small bloody footprints in the snow and he laughed into the night. Such a dangerous little lady!
