Feelings

Uriel and Aurora headed down to Earth after their Father caused dozens of nature catastrophes during last night. With their powers they flew on the sly invisible and tried to fix the roots of the trees, plant new seeds, redirect the rivers and melt the snow. While they tried their bests to fix the mess Uriel scoffed. - Can you believe that all this is because the current favourite child missed a dinner? - he asked and his little sister sighed. She tucked a piece of her curly, ginger hair behind her ear and turned to her brother. - Father was genuinely upset about it! - she tried to protect their Father but her face betrayed her. - Oh come on Rory! You are pissed I can tell! - Aurora looked into Uriel's green eyes and groaned. -Fine! I'm pissed as Hell! Jophie missed a dinner! And what? You don't have to extinguish all the life you created on one night just because of that! I'm also mad at Jophie! She knows how important Christmas is for Father! - Uriel stopped working and sat on a cloud with his legs crossed. He smirked at his little sister, whose face was almost as red as her hair by now. - Haven't you heard the rumors? - Aurora stopped working as well and her eyes widened at Uriel. - What rumors? - If you bake me a rhubarb pie later, I'll tell you! - Rory rolled her eyes but she lived for a good gossip. - Fine! Tell me! - Uriel flew closer to her and said. - Angels said, that Jophie has been living on Earth for more than a half year now as a human! - Aurora gasped. - Why would she do that?! She is one of the most powerful Archangels! - Uriel shrugged. - I have no idea, but Michael looked concerned when he returned today and went to report to Father. - Do you think, Jophie will be demoted? - Uriel nodded. - Definitely, she is lucky if she won't end up as Lucy. - Suddenly Zadkiel appeared next to Uriel and he jumped further. Uriel had his hand on his chest and gripped his light brown tunic. - Zadkiel! You almost scared me to death! - Zadkiel shrugged. - Father sent me to check what is taking so long. - Aurora cursed out loud and Uriel laughed. He flew by his sister and held her shoulders. - Easy tiger! - he said but Zadkiel crossed his arms in front of his chest and raised an eyebrow at them. - So? What does it take so long? - Listen you flying encyclopedia! - Aurora started and lifted one of her fists but Uriel held her back. - Rory, violence is not the solution. - Zadkiel laughed at the warmed up Aurora and said arrogantly. - Please.... I didn't expect anything from someone who talks with the chipmunks. - Uriel released Aurora and leaned back on a cloud. - You are on your own Zady! - Aurora attacked Zadkiel who tried to fled away, but Rory was faster. She grabbed him and wrapped Zadkiel in his long, dark blue cape. She stuffed his mouth with a huge amount of arcons. She swept the dust off of her hands and turned to Uriel. - Would you like to visit Jophiel? - Uriel grinned and pointed at Zadkiel with his thumb. - What about him? - Aurora smiled wickedly and said batting her eyelashes. - He is so much smarter than us! I'm sure he can save himself. Oh before we leave, we were late because Father has f*****g anger issues! Try to serve this diplomatically! - Aurora said and she flew through the clouds. Zadkiel mumbled something to Uriel but he just saluted and deep dived towards Earth. They turned into eagles and flew where they heard Jophiel lived. After they arrived Uriel said. - I hope you know that we will be in trouble for that. - Aurora pulled her tongue at him and said. - I hope you know I don't care. - Uriel laughed. - Of course, I just reminded you! - Aurora reached for the door knocker and an old lady opened the door. - Oh, excuse us, we might have mistaken the house number. - the lady smiled. - Are you here to adopt a child or to visit the owner? - Aurora's eyes widened when she noticed the smiling children behind the lady, she looked at Uriel who immediately hugged his sister's shoulders. -We are looking for the owners, the blondy is actually our cousin! - Uriel said and the Lady smiled. - Mrs Ashley went out with her husband and a friend of their's. But they'll be back soon, would you like to wait for them. - Aurora looked super confused and Uriel came to the rescue. - That would be amazing! Thank you for having us! My name is Riel and she is Rory! - he extended his hand and the old lady shook it. -I'm Sarah, the nanny and caretaker. Nice to meet you, please come in. - they walked in and the children immediately rushed to them. Their eyes were open wide and Sarah chuckled. - Please, pardon them, some of these kids have never seen red hair. - a little girl pulled Rory's green dress. - Lady, can I touch your hair? - Sarah scolded her. - Lotti! This isn't something that you can ask from guests. - Aurora leaned down and with an encouraging smile she said. - Thank you for asking it, and I'll let you touch it. - Lotti smiled and gently pulled one of Rory's locks. She, and the other kids giggled when it jumped back to the original place after Lotti released it. They all headed to the main hall where the boys started wrestling with Uriel and the girls played dolls with Aurora. In an hour Jophiel and Brendon arrived home. The other two didn't even notice them when they walked to the room. Jophiel cleared her throat and her siblings turned to her. - Jo.. - Uriel started and Jophiel gently shook her head. - ASHLEY! - he screamed getting out of the hold of the boys and spinning Jophiel in the air. - It feels like ages! - he said and after he put Jophiel down he looked at Brendon. - And him? - Jophiel locked her arm with Brendon's and said. - His name is Brendon, he is my husband. - Aurora walked to them and she mumbled. - So it's true. - Jophiel nodded and Sarah sent the kids to their rooms so the adults could talk. They sat down in the main hall. The furniture was green and comfy, the walls decorated with flower patterns and the furnitures were all painted white. The whole room gave a really calming and vivid aura. - What are you doing here? - Jophiel asked when they were left alone. - We came to check on you. - Uriel said and Jophie looked angrily. - Did he sent you too? - Aurora laughed. - No. We were cleaning up after his tantrum but he thought we were too slow. Father even sent Zadkiel after us. - Jophiel tilted her head and leaned closer with a wicked smile to Aurora. - Where is Zady? - Rory returned the grin and she said cheerfully. - Let's say that he got tangled up with some business. - So, you are also Jophie's siblings.- Brendon asked and Aurora's jaw dropped. - He knows? - Jophie nodded and Uriel sighed with relief. - Finally! Something simple and logical! Yes dude, we are her siblings as well. And there are a few more of us, but if you are lucky enough you'll meet only the cool ones! - Brendon laughed at Uriel's direct style. - Hopefully! As long as you are fine with me loving Jophiel, you are always welcome at our home. - Uriel looked moved and they shared a glance with Aurora. She leaned back and her eyes wondered all over the room. When her glance stopped at her sister full in love she smiled genuinely. - At first I didn't understand why would you risk everything for this, I was wrong. - she admitted and a tear escaped from her eye. - What is this? - she asked and Jophiel gently wiped it off. - This? This is a sign of real feelings Rory. - But we have feelings! - Uriel complained and Jophiel shook her head. - I thought the same too, until we met. - she kissed Brendon's cheek and continued. - The feelings we know are so superficial and more on the negative side that believe me, we have a lot to learn from humans. I cam finally understand Lucy's curiosity. - How is he doing? - Rory asked and Jophiel shrugged. - As usual I think. I haven't visited him ages ago. - Uriel got up and said. - We should celebrate this New year with him! If that's okay with you as well, brother in law. - Brendon smiled. - I don't say I'm in love with the idea of having the Devil at my table but why not? I have seen plenty of crazy s**t already, one more or less doesn't matter! - they all laughed and Jophie snuggled to his side. - He cannot come here, we should go to Hell, but I'm not taking you! - Brendon sighed with relief. - You don't know how grateful I'm for that Honey!
