Selena just smiled passively. She didn't expect Alphonse to rebuke her just because of Virgie. And it seemed Selena couldn't believe Alphonse would accept Virgie as his mate.
"Okay, sorry," Selena said. She then put her arm around Edward. "We're going in, Edward."
Edward entered together with Selena. Virgie still persisted in staring at Edward, suddenly cold to her. What was wrong? Virgie didn't need Edward's permission to have a relationship with anyone. Including Alphonse.
Alphonse noticed Virgie's reaction after Edward entered the house. He was increasingly convinced that there was something between Virgie and Edward that had not been resolved, and this was Alphonse's chance to destroy Edward.
"Are you okay, Virgie?" Alphonse asked as he touched Virgie's shoulder warmly and gently.
