3. Farah's warning to Edward

In a luxurious residence in the city of Archos, Edward Reynolds enjoys soaking in a bathtub while listening to his favorite rock music.

Edward Reynolds, son of Alpha Gold Moon Pack Roy Reynolds from a woman who was not his father's mate. His mother was Rosemary Roosevelt, a Beta descendant. She died shortly after giving birth to him. His father died when his mother met Farah, his true mate. Roy left Rosemary, who at that time was pregnant with his child. Roy knew about Edward's birth when he learned of Rosemary's death.

However, no one can doubt that Edward is a descendant of Roy Reynolds, the Alpha. All pack members know that Edward is Roy Reynolds' son even though his mother is not truly Roy's mate. Members knew that Roy had a relationship with Rosemary. They also knew that when Rosemary was pregnant, she was also pregnant.

His mother's death made Edward have fears. Fear that one day he would be left by his mate in favor of another man. He was always anxious about it, so it was hard for him to believe he would have a mate.

Since childhood, Edward struggled on his own to become the success he is today. He was helped by his grandfather, Arnold Roosevelt. Now he is a very strong and successful person.

Most of the Gold Moon pack members dislike Edward because of his origins. He was often said to be a 'Bastard' since childhood. And that's what made Edward fight. He wanted to prove to everyone that he could succeed without his father.

"Hemm," Edward muttered. He was done with his activities in the bathroom. He quickly went out. He put on the kimono towel that was on the bathroom hanger. He-wolf said that Edward was the most handsome wolf in the Pack, but Edward always ignored every time he-wolf raved.

"Sir..." A man with a cold face waited for Edward in his room.

"You didn't know I was in the shower, Francis?" complained Edward as he opened his wardrobe.

"I'm sorry, Sir. But Mrs. Farah has come to see you," Francis said.

Francis Houston was a Beta who was extremely loyal to Edward. They had been together for a long time. Only Francis was always on Edward's side. Although Francis' father was more in favor of Roy Reynolds, the Alpha.

Edward sighed. He did not like Farah. Obviously, Farah had caused his mother to die. But it wasn't entirely Farah's fault. The fact that Farah was her father's mate could not be denied. All members would blame Rosemary for daring to seduce Alpha to get pregnant, even though Rosemary was not Alpha's mate.

"Let her wait in the living room. I have to change my clothes," Edward said.

Edward's words were very clear, but Francis didn't budge and just stayed in Edward's room.

"Francis," Edward called. "Why are you still here?"

"I advise you not to see her," Francis replied. "I don't like her, Sir."

Edward smiled. He knew Francis was extremely loyal and could always be counted on by Edward. "Me too, Francis. But she is my father's mate, after all. She is Luna. I must see her. You must honor her," Edward said.

Francis was still hesitant, but he had to obey Edward, who Francis believed would be the next Alpha. He believed that Edward was much stronger than his half-brother, Alphonse. Francis would never accept that Alphonse would be the next Alpha of the Gold Moon Pack.

"Hurry up before that woman nags. I have to change my clothes. I have to look good in front of her," Edward said.

Francis did as Edward said. He rushed out of Edward's room to the living room. Farah Sinclair was waiting for him there with an annoying expression on her face.

Farah was haughty. She was very arrogant and hated Edward because Edward was the son of the woman who seduced her mate. She always blamed Rosemary for taking Alpha away from her.

"Mrs. Farah," Francis greeted.

Farah turned to Francis. She was surprised to see Francis at Edward's luxurious residence.

"Are you here?" asked Farah. "Didn't your father ask you to be loyal to my son, Alphonse?"

Francis blinked his eyes. He was the son of a Beta, Timothy Houston, the Alpha's right-hand man. However, Francis had his own will to whom he should be loyal.

"Alpha has given me permission to stay with Edward, Ma'am. I will stay with him," Francis said.

Farah smiled very arrogantly. "Are you sure that Edward will be the Alpha? Alphonse is a direct descendant of me, Luna Gold Moon Pack. You should know who the Alpha will be in the future.

"Everything will be decided in the duel, Mrs. Farah!" Edward, who had just come out of the room, approached his stepmother. Think of it that way. Although, Farah did not want to think of Edward as a stepson. To her, Edward was just a bastard. He was a bastard.

"Francis, ask the servant to make a drink for my stepmother. Don't let her thirst here," Edward said to Francis.

"Mother? I'm not your mother!" Farah screeched. She was unwilling to consider Edward as her son after Rosemary had a relationship with Roy Reynolds to produce Edward. "I came to warn you!"

Francis was visibly upset when Farah was rude to Edward. It was Farah and Roy who had made Edward suffer.

"Francis, give us some privacy," Edward pleaded. He knew that Francis was not happy with Farah.

"Sir .... " Francis did not want to leave, but Edward insisted.

"Please..."

Francis left. He left Edward and Farah alone. Edward sat on his luxurious sofa. He looked at Farah very casually. "So, what did you want to tell me?" Edward asked.

"You know that you cannot be Alpha. I'm warning you. Your mother stole Alpha from me. You shouldn't have dueled. You don't deserve to be Alpha. You are not the descendant of the Alpha mate. Alphonse is the more deserving Alpha!" Farah was very firm in warning Edward. She did not want Edward to become Alpha. She was angry at Edward, who was an illegitimate child.

Meanwhile, Edward only smiled. Although his heart was actually hurting. Farah's words were very painful. She had no compassion for her mother, who had died due to her father's betrayal.

"I will still duel with Alphonse. In my blood flows the blood of Roy Reynolds, the Alpha. I deserve that position. Or..." Edward leaned in to look so confident. "Are you afraid that Alphonse will lose? Are you afraid that I, a 'Bastard,' will become Alpha? All is foreordained by the Moon Goddess. Why are you so afraid?" Edward said with a sweet, smirking smile.

"Insolent!" Farah stood up. She was about to slap Edward, but he held her back.

"Get your hands off me, Bastard!" screamed Farah.

Edward, who had been smiling, suddenly looked at Farah with anger. "You may insult me, but you cannot underestimate me. I will duel with Alphonse, and we'll see who wins. And now, you'd better leave. Before I crush all your bones!" Edward's eyes turned red. He just wanted to bully Farah. He-wolf cheered with excitement when Edward was so assertive against Sarah.

Edward let go of Farah's hand. Farah, who was frightened, immediately left Edward.

Edward was silent after Farah left. He could threaten Farah, but his heart was broken. Everyone called him 'Bastard' and considered him a bastard and unworthy of being the Alpha's son.

"Argh!" Edward was so annoyed that he pounded the table furiously.
