‘What does that even mean?" I demanded, trying to make sense of what I was being told. ‘How can my not choosing him cause his demise?’
I was beginning to wonder if this voice was trying to play mind-games. How could someone I barely knew and was only bonded to place such a high value on any decision I made?
‘You do know that he is suffering?’ The voice urged.
‘Yes.’
I was aware that something was torturing Armon, but I didn’t know exactly what it was. However, it seemed that anytime I touched him, he managed to feel slightly better. Did this have something to do with what she meant? Or was that just a coincidence?
