I thought I had it all, I thought my life would always be perfect and blessed, but just in one day, everything was destroyed, right in front of my eyes. I watched as my world crumbled down to the ground with nothing to live for or nothing to do.

I'd just been congratulated by our doctor that I was three weeks pregnant. With joy in my heart and soul reflecting in my eyes, I hurried to share my good news with my friends at work, but things took another turn for me.

That same day, I was sacked from my work. A company I labored for for all these years? As if that wasn’t enough, I tried begging because I didn’t know what else to do. I have lived my life serving them and making sure to build the company instead of building myself for what was to come in the future.

“ I'm sorry Elissa, we did all our best to keep you, but we can't afford your worth, so we have to let you go. Here are your things. Please you can leave the building”, the manager said.

With my property already placed in a box and handed over to me, I walked out of the building feeling heartbroken with no hope of knowing what to do.

Just then I felt a sharp pain and fell on the ground, with my things scattering all over. The pain was so severe that I didn’t know how to help myself.

I gasped for breath as I felt my body burning hot. It felt like the pleasure of having s****l intercourse at the same time, but it hurt because it felt like I was being raped. The pains could be likened to the kind of pain one feels when flogged with thorns.

Each thrust was total torture for me. My mate was having s*x with another, he was betraying our bond, our precious bond.

All eyes were on me. I managed to stand up from the ground, gathered my things, and walked out of the premises to take a taxi to my pack.

A pack that I had so many doubts about going back to, but I needed to find out who he was cheating on me with, if the girl was worth everything he was making me go through.

With each step I took, the pain increased, I felt like I was going to die, but my wolf kept striving forward, she kept giving me the strength I needed to carry on.

Getting closer to the packhouse, the pain intensified and I gasped out, clenching my chest tight with my hand while using the other hand to hit it hard, hoping to reduce the pain, but it only increased.

I managed to climb up the stairs where I heard the sound of moans. I opened the door of our bedroom to find my best friend riding on my mate, a friend I called a sister.

“Do you love me more than that wretch??” she asked my mate as her ass bounced up and down his shaft.

“Yes I do, I'm only attached to her for the sake of the mating bond,” Rody said in between moans.

“Then reject her and claim me as yours,” Elizabeth said while increasing her pace and, just like a fool, he agreed to her terms.

I wanted to scream out and lashed at them but Leah, my wolf, told me not to.

I staggered to the living room waiting patiently for them to finish up with their s*x. I shut off their sounds with the noise of weeping. I just couldn't understand why all this was happening to me and what I'd done wrong to deserve everything I was going through.

A few minutes later, I heard their laughter as they walked down the stairs and I saw their surprised faces when they saw me. I only smirked.

“I had my fill guys, thanks to Elizabeth for showing me that no one can be trusted,” I said to them.

“Elissa, it's not what you think,” Rody said, trying to justify himself.

“There is no need for lies, Rody. I heard everything. I should just help you both out. I, Luna Elissa Smith of the dark blue crest, reject you Rody Cathway, as my mate and Alpha.” The moment the words left my mouth I was hit hard with so many pains that I felt my legs buckled up.

I prayed deeply that my baby was okay and that I wouldn't lose it, because of the pains my mate and my friend are causing.

I hated them so much, I managed to stand still and wait for his response.

Then he cleared his throat and my eyes met his blue almond eyes. There was that evil smirk on his face.

“Well, go ahead and just accept my rejection, Rody," I said.

Deep down I wanted him to say nothing and beg for our love and the mate bond, but instead, the words that came out of his mouth shocked me. I was in pain and I didn't know if I could handle it.

“I, Rody Cathway, Alpha of the Dark Blue Crest, reject you; Elissa Smith, as my mate and renounce the title of the Luna from you,” Rody said.

His eyes had no guilt or shame in them and I felt my heart-shattering.

I smiled, struggling to handle the pain as I staggered towards the room we used to share to get my things when I heard his voice.

“Since we are no longer mates and the bond has been severed, I have decided to take your friend Elizabeth as my mate and the luna of the Dark Blue Crest pack."

When he said it, I heard Elizabeth scream out in excitement and I smiled as I looked at the both of them.

“Congratulations to both of you." I threw carelessly before walking up to Elisabeth and whispering something to her, “I hope you can endure everything I went through with him, since you want it, then enjoy it” I smiled at her. ‘I hope the both of you die' I said to myself

With that, I turned around and staggered to my room. With the help of the omega Troy, I was able to get my things together and roll the bag as I walked past them in their lovey-dovey moments.

“Luna!!" I heard Harry, my gamma, calling out to me.

“Harry, you don't have to follow me to an unknown destination. I'm going to a place I know nothing about. As a matter of fact, I don't know where I'm going. I'm just going to allow the moon goddess to guide my path,” I answered.

“But I'm meant to protect you, I am duty-bound to you,” Harry said.

“Your duty is bound to the Alpha and your new Luna. I, Elissa Smith, free you, Harry Walter, as my gamma wolf, and on this day. Henceforth, you are bound to serve your new luna, respect her, and love her just the way you did to me.” I said out loud and I could feel the bonds between us breaking slowly until they were completely ripped off and a painful groan escaped Harry's lips. I could see the tears dropping down his eyes. I knew what I did was wrong, but right now I wouldn't allow him to suffer with me in a place I knew nothing about, how would he be able to fend for himself and his family. ‘I’m sorry Harry, please forgive me and I hope soon you will understand me’ I apologized to him, and I turned my face towards the pack's gate.

Many of the pack members were present and they watched me walk away from their pack, never to be their Luna again. I saw the pain and tears in their eyes. I saw and appreciated the love they had for me and I hated the fact that I would not be part of their life again, but life must go on and I have a dream to accomplish with me and my pup.

I felt their pain, but I wasn't going to stay in a relationship that wouldn't give me happiness but pain and sorrow. Knowing that very soon, he would reject me and that would have been worse. I'm glad I did that for him and Elizabeth. I wish them what they wish me.

Standing at the gate, I turned around to say the final rejection.

“I, Elissa Smith, renounce everything that has to do with Dark Blue Crest, I free myself from the bond that held me to this pack,” I said, solemnly.

When the words left my mouth, I felt the connection with the pack broken and I knew everyone felt it too. I halted a taxi and got in.

“To the train station," I told the driver and he nodded and drove off.

I looked slowly as the pack I have lived in for almost four years slowly faded away till it was no more.

I heaved a sigh of relief, resting my head on the seat. I didn't know what lied ahead of me out there but I was glad I had a huge sum of money in my account that could carry me and my pup till further notice.

All I need right now is to stay far away from where Rody can never ever find me or my pup. By the time he found out about the pup, we would have been long gone, far away from his reach.
