***A real quick note, this is the sequel to The Next Luna. If you haven't already read it, I would recommend you read that one first. If you have welcome back, I hope you enjoy this one as much as you did the first. I will be doing updates on this book every Saturday. I hope you all enjoy it.***
Prophecy
The last seer lay on her deathbed. She was old and frail. Members of every race surrounded her, from witch to werewolf, to vampire, and even humans. Then, with her last breath, she said these words.
"The firstborn daughter to one of the strongest Alphas and second born child to a Luna who was raised among humans will come into this world just before dawn while her pack battles. While a storm brews. At the peak of battle and storm, the daughter will be birthed. She will be the first in her family line to not only carry the ability to become a wolf but carry with her the power of her ancestors. The child will be the first wolf-witch hybrid since the beginning of time. She will become Luna to the most powerful wolf pack on Earth. She will submit to only one and rule over all others. She will be stronger than all other witches. She will become High Priestess to all covens. The hybrid will reveal herself on her eighteenth birthday and stand strong against imposters that would wish to force her loyalty."
Giving one last prophecy before taking her last breath, a prophecy that would send the world into an endless war between witches, werewolves, and vampires. All the while, humans would take a step back from the world, forgetting that any of them even existed in the first place. A war where Vampires tried to stop such a powerful creature from being born. A creature that would not only be able to control werewolves but witches alike. And if the creature were able to control both of them, it would be able to control the vampires as well, and they did not want that. A war that would pit witches against werewolves in an attempt to stop it from ever happening. Witches would do anything to stop their leader from being a mutt who married another mutt. A war that would have werewolves trying to protect their way of life and convince the others they would never purposely mix the lines.
Over the years, the prophecy given on that night has changed its meaning depending on who you ask. For the vampires, a hybrid will be born into this world, and it will need to be stopped at all costs. For the wolves, the prophecy says that one day there will be a wolf-witch hybrid and that the wolf pack to get the hybrid to submit to them will be the strongest pack in the world. That they will be the only pack that matters and all other packs will bow down to them. But If you were to ask a witch what the prophecy says, you would be told that yes, one day a wolf-witch hybrid will be born, and she would be more powerful than any other witch known. She will not only be the High Priestess, but she will also be the Luna to the most powerful wolf pack on earth. She will be the queen of the wolves. She will submit to only one and rule over all others. And she was never to exist if possible. But if she was to come to be, she should be protected at all costs.
Now what they leave out of their teachings is that the hybrid will be born to two werewolves, mothered by a Luna and fathered by an Alpha. Everyone forgetting that the Luna will not be a witch herself, but a wolf as well. This left many wolf packs trying to make the prophecy come true by forcing witches to mate with wolves. This, however, only yielded children born to them that were either wolves or witches but not both. Sure some would show abilities of both, but they were not powerful by any means. When these couplings did not yield the desired effect, the packs would sentence the witches to death, claiming they spelled the child to be one or the other as the years went on. However, witches became harder to find due to their dwindling numbers and due to them going into hiding in an attempt to stop the forced mattings. With the witches becoming harder to find, most wolf packs gave up on their dreams of becoming the pack to control the hybrid by having her breed into their pack and took to keeping an eye out for signs that she existed in hopes that they were strong enough to take her and force her to submit to them. This knowledge only made the witches reinforce the spells that hid them.
