Chapter 4 By the time Garrett shut everything at the bakery down for the night, he couldn’t see the lights of the Railsong at all through the intense pink onslaught. Even with the front door closed, he smelled the rose scent over the usual fragrances of baking. The possibility of rolling his metal cart across the street dropped from slim to none when he peeked outside. He was pretty sure he’d be able to manage to walk in a straight line, and it was barely below freezing. He himself wasn’t in any actual danger, even though the snow fell fast and hard enough to sound like a rush of wind with no wind blowing.
