*Zara*
I halfway sprint into my room, my heart throbbing hard against my ribs, like a steam engine trying to break free. I close the door behind me, scared for what I just did and so very sad that it can never happen again.
"Is something wrong, my child ? You look like you have just seen a ghost". Nara is looking at me with a worried expression.
What can I say ? I tell her the closest thing to the truth I can, as I hate to lie. "The American came out from his room, so I had to hurry inside before he saw me".
Nara is just looking at me for a couple of moments, the expression on her face kind of unreadable. "Oh the tall dark haired gentleman with the warm eyes and the striking smile".
"Nara ! You my dear should not be looking at men. And I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, because I haven't been looking at him". I feel how the heat rises rapidly in my cheeks.
But the elderly woman just keeps looking at me, not in any blaming or harsh way, but in the end I still crumble. "Okay, okay ! Yes, he has very gentle eyes and a really beautiful smile".
"Come over here my girl, and let me brush your hair. It looks unusually tangled this morning". Nara says with a way too knowing smile.
I blush slightly as I go to sit down, letting her brush and braid my hair. She helps me with my makeup and lastly she helps me get into the dress. I am back to being a perfect princess or at least looking like one.
I have just finished up when the door opens and Imad enters my room. "Morning Zara. I am going down to the movie set, they promised me a tour and I would like for you to join me. So please put on your veil".
"Of course Imad. It will be my pleasure". I say with a slight curtsey. I wish I could just say no, but I am not allowed to. I just have to hope that Dean is not there.
*Dean*
I have been debating with myself if I should tell Joel or not. In the end I decided not to tell him. There is no reason to get him involved too.
"An honour to have you here sir. Please allow me to personally show you around". I hear Scott say, and even before turning I know who has just arrived.
And there beside him she is, now both veiled and covered by her scarf. Her eyes are lowered to the ground and she is keeping a couple of steps behind her husband. I force a smile and a smile and a friendly voice. "Welcome Imad… Zara".
"Thank you. We are so excited to see it all. Never seen movie made before, Zara never even seen movie". Imad grins dumbly and I want to punch him in his ugly face.
Zara glances up shortly, her eyes catching mine for a mere second before casting them down again. She knows how to act the part of a perfectly trainee wife.
As Scott starts showing them around, telling about the seats and different processen I tag along, wondering if I might enjoy torturing myself.
"What the f**k are you doing Dean ?" Joel is suddenly right beside me, grabbing my arm to hold me back. His voice is a low hiding whisper.
I stare after her, probably looking mostly like a lost puppy. "Nothing Joel. We were just showing our host and Zara around on the set. I have no idea what you are insinuating".
"Oh Dean, you should be so very happy that Imad is not a very bright or perceptive man. Because if he were to notice the way you are practically ripping off her clothes with your eyes... I assure you, he would not like it one bit". Joel's voice is still low, but now with a an edge.
I rub a hand over my face in frustration, realising I have been caught red handed here. "I... Well f**k me. Okay I am in such trouble Joel. I can't stop thinking about her".
"You damn better stick with the thinking. Imad is very proud of his young beautiful wife, and he wouldn't take kindly to someone touching her". His voice has changed to be worried now.
I am biting my lip, kind of avoiding his eyes. But oh that kiss was almost worth any punishment it could get me. "Uhm… Well... you see...".
"Oh f**k Dean, for the love of God… what have you done ? I knew I shouldn't have left the two of you alone last night". Joel rubs his temple.
I sigh. "It wasn't last night, nothing happened there. Well nothing bad after all, okay ? It was this morning, in the garden. I might or might not have ... kissed her".
"Tell me do you have a freaking death wish ? Because you know that is actually a possibility right ? He could literally kill the both of you. For the love of everything holy, keep your hands off her". He looks at me pleadingly.
I look at him, then I turn slightly to look at Zara. She is watching us out of the corner of her eye. "Yeah... sorry, I am not sure I can".
