Ruth moved quickly away from the executive floor, not sure what was happening, and headed back down to reception, so that Diana could go on her break.
“Ruthie, have you been on the top floor?” Diana asked with excitement in her eyes.
Ruth knew that the gossip brigade would have imparted information to her friend about the goings on she herself had witnessed.
“Yes,” Ruth nodded, biting on her cheek. She did not want to tell anyone what she had witnessed, she really thought it would be unprofessional of her. Even if she was working for Bread, she still had integrity.
