7 Wanting to be clearheaded when she wrote her very first NTSB report, Miranda waited for the morning. Gloves were making the typing difficult, the inside of the plane was little warmer than the outside. Her breath had created a layer of ice on the inside of the windows. Then she noticed the battery life on her laptop. If she didn’t hurry, the battery would run out before she could complete her report. Taking off her gloves made her skin and joints ache, but she was able to type much more accurately and quickly. NTSB reports had a clean linearity to them.
