1203 Words
The 12 members of the 13 Heads of Paristine have arrived at the Great Spiral Hall of the Forbidden Palace. The only present from 2nd rank to the last is Dolos Royal Vampire from Detroit Household. Apate from Detroit Household as well. Lilith, the noble witch from Sorciere Clan. Chaise, King of Exile. Proteus, a Royal Vampire from Detroit Household. Pseudea, the noble fairy from Dieumere Household. Leroy Royal Werewolf from Zacarias Clan. Sacre, noble demigod from Vierge household. Luxure, a noble demigod from the Vierge household. Furriex, a Royal Werewolf from the Zacarias Clan. Avidite, a noble fairy from the Cheri clan. And the last one is Pierre Royal Ogre from Brute Household. Crowlux, the first head of Paristine, has not been able to attend the meeting since he was given a mission that King Damon was assigned to him. They all wore the Royal Blue Cloak with merlot on its edges and an image of a black Lion with 13 tails and silver wings on the back. That's what they wear every time they have a meeting. As they sat in their respective chairs, the atmosphere inside the hall was very heavy. Despite the glittering stones, the room darkened from the pressure and aura. No one speaks to them either. They just sit quietly and felt around while waiting for King Damon's presence. "You lost your Prince." Dolos said with a hint of mockery and sarcasm that can be heard from the tone of his voice but Pierre doesn't like what he heard. He knows everything what Dolos said was meant for him. Pierre just ignored Dolos even though he didn't like him at all. "And Chaise, is it really okay to leave your lovely wife outside?" Dolos turned to Chaise who would have been silent in his chair. "Yes. She's not part of the 13th Heads. It's too rude for me to let her in here without King Damon's permission." Chaise said without even taking a single glance at Dolos. Chaise doesn't seem in the mood to talk so Dolos never spoke again. And there was a deafening silence engulf in the hall again. "What do you think of Narco's Death?" Proteus spoke after a long silence. He broke the overbearing silence he didn't like. The pressure between all of them is getting heavier that darkened each one of their faces. "Out of all the questions you can ask, that one is really what you've chosen." Avidite said in a sarcastic tone and slightly rolled her eyes out. "What should I ask? We'll just talk about that later." Proteus cross his arms on his chest and shrugged off, Avidite stopped for a moment and turn her glance on him. She looked Proteus brazenly in the eye who now never lost the smirk on his lips. "You know the outcome of that matter will not be good. So don't ever mention that in front of the King." Avidite threatened that Proteus just shrugged, not bothered at all. "Okay." Proteus replied in a sarcastic tone as well, which Avidite gritted her teeth in annoyance, her dislike of Proteus is growing high even more. "I hope you don't die." Avidite said spitefully at Proteus, giving him a contemptuous look. Apate was about to speak when the big door of the Hall opened wide and King Damon spat from there looking not in a good mood. They all quickly stood up and together they greet the King, but even before they opened their mouths to give their praise to him, they all seated down suddenly on their respective chairs in an unknown force to their surprise. "I don't need it." King Damon said directly without beating a bush who was already sitting on his seat in the middle. They could not speak, they remain silent. The Royals and Noble Heads just looked at each other. They still couldn't believe how strong the King was for them to sit down so easily as if King Damon was just breathing when he made them sit down. "Who else here received help from Narco?" Everyone looked at King Damon all at once at his question. For no apparent reason, Dolos gets nervous. He regained his natural look from his nervous gaze immediately when the King looked in his direction. Dolos could not meet the gleam of deviltry on the King's look, eyeing critically at him. "Chaise don't you have anything to say about what's going on in Exile?" King Damon changes the subject as no one answers his previous question. Chaise stood up immediately. "I want to tell you everything right now but first and foremost I want to know why Crowlux's presence isn't here yet? We shouldn't start until the First Head isn't here, right?" The other Heads of the Paristine look at Chaise unbelievably like he said the wrong thing and ask at the wrong time. "I have a mission given to him." The King replied in a casual tone. Everyone was stunned in their seat by the King's casual retort. "Hmmm. I don't know what mission you gave him but hopefully, he will succeed." Chaise's response is in much casual and plain tone. "Thank you. Now, let's go back to my first question. Who else here has received help from Narco?" The King asked everyone again as the deafening silence prevailed in the Hall. There seemed to be none of the Heads had any intention to answer King's question. Proteus secretly glared at Dolos who seemed to be deep in thought. Proteus could not understand himself right now, he was nervous because he could not predict what would happen next and possible happenings inside this Hall. Pierre, on the other hand, wanted to speak up. He had too much to say but Pierre decided to remain silent and didn't try to speak what he badly wanted to say as he didn't want to shake the surroundings due to his voice. "I'd love to hear your answer, especially at the Detroit Household." Proteus almost choked on his saliva because of what the King said. They didn’t expect the King to ask and put them in a tight situation. Proteus and Apate looked at the King at the same time, as if they were still waiting for what King Damon would say next. "King Damon, we haven't received any help from Narco." Proteus and Apate turned their gaze to Dolos when he answered. The scrutinizing look from the King was darted at Dolos, cruise through him for a second before the King speak again. "I believe you." King Damon's simple response in a plain tone, the King's statement was emotionless which made Proteus and Apate even more nervous, constantly fidgeting on their chairs. "Why do we talk about that first? Why don't we talk about what happened in Exile first." Sacre suddenly barge into the conversation as Luxure sighed. The other Heads were also looking in his direction unbelievably while brows were creased into a frown. "But Narco is connected to what happened in Exile." The King responded immediately and Sacre wore with a weird smile that had a kind of boast in it. He sneered. "Ah, yes. Your grandson you can't discipline." To be continued...
