Keelin’s POV

“Your grace, I will look after Theodora. You can attend to your important work my king” The physician bowed to me and said.

“There’s nothing more important than our mate!” Blaze opened through the mind link. I have fixed a meeting after one hour in the courtroom with my warriors to discuss the security and safety of the kingdom.

“Nurse, bring Theodora some warm clothes. She was wet and cold; another one gave me cleaned Ghose, cotton wools, warm water, and a towel to clean the wound. Hurry up, we have to look into this matter quickly” The physician quickly attended to do his duty.

He cut the shoulder of the dress and lowered it to see the wound. Blaze forced me to escape a low growl. He doesn’t like another man touching our mate.

“My king, am I doing something wrong?” When the growl heard, the physician quickly asked.

“Nothing, just do it quickly. I will stay here until you finish!” I hold my emotions back. I feel that I was becoming possessive toward Theodora, which was not good for my nature and position.

“Then, why are you standing so close to her though the physician asked you to go?” Blaze’s words made me speechless. He was throwing tantrums at me like a counselor.

“Blaze, you are too much. I am here because I don’t trust anyone with her. Her existence is a must for my title” I replied.

“I smell a lie here” He sniffed.

“What lie?” I asked.

“Give me one good reason for keeping her alive and how was she supposed to help to keep your title”

“Aaaahhh” My mind link with the Blaze was broken when a strong wave of spark ran all over my body. The hair on my back rose when she squeezed my arm with a painful scream.

“It hurts! Do it quickly!” She was shaking her head in pain and I saw that the physician was putting stitches in the open wound.

“Those who*es of yours, look what they’ve done to our mate. I want to shred them into pieces” Blaze couldn’t take it anymore when he saw Theodora in pain.

“You shouldn’t provoke them to do this to you!” I clenched my teeth and said to her. Through her teary eyes, she looked at me. It was not a look, it was a death glare warning me that she wanted to kill me and my entire wolf clan.

“Your mistresses were the ones who were involved in a fight with me, they were the ones who provoked me. Tell me what will you do when someone unnecessarily pulled you into a fight, when someone provoked you to fight with them? Do you sit aside folding your arms or do you fight back?” She asked in a feisty tone. The nurses and the physician were shocked to hear the way she spoke to me. She was still squeezing my arms and digging her nails into my skin when the physician was about to finish dressing the wound.

“Make sure she heals fast. Because I want to teach her how she needs to address her king in the future!” I threw her hand away and walked outside.

“Ordan, ask Theodora’s maid Rose to go and see her in the medical room” I mind-linked my Gamma.

“King, is everything all right? What happened to the princess?!” When I heard him calling princess I knew that I should do something about this princess thing.

“Someone’s ego was hurt. She was a lioness! Tell me that no one dared to speak to us like that before” Blaze was so happy about her behavior. I barged into my chamber when the mistresses were getting ready to bathe.

“Who starts the fight?!” The chamber started to lay with the carpet of my arrogant voice. I was like a raging bull and waiting for their answer. They were shaking and looking at me with their shaking bodies.

“She was the one!” They both pointed at each other making me realize that they were lying.

Knowing that Theodora was correct about the fight, I held them by their necks and pushed them both to the wall by lifting them in the air with my both hands. They were struggling to release themselves from my strong arms. I started to enjoy looking at how they struggled for their lives. The bloodthirsty animal inside me started to wake up, and before a second, I snapped their necks someone knocked on the chamber door distracting me.

I threw both of them on the floor allowing them to live for another day. They were coughing to catch their breath when I leaned towards them. Their eyes were reddened in fear and I gave them a satisfied smirk.

“Listen to me carefully. If you ever get into a fight with Theodora, next time you won’t be able to see the next day of your lives. Only I have the right to hurt her, punish her and she was maid only to me, not to you! Understood?!” my jaw clenched and they nodded still coughing.

I turned to go back and then turned again towards them.

“Since my maid was wounded by you two, from today onwards you two will do all the hard work including filling the bathtub for me, and as soon as you finish the work, get the hell out of here!”

This threat gave me satisfaction. Satisfaction about releasing the rage bubbling inside me. The other point for my satisfaction was, she fought even with a wounded shoulder. She is not a weak woman, she is stronger than I think. When I scooped her into my arms, I felt her curves. She has no tiny waist nor a slender figure. She has a perfect and strong body for a woman. Nothing more or nothing less.

“What?” I opened the door to find her standing in front of my chamber door.

Theodora’s POV

As soon as the treatments were done by the physician I walked towards his chamber. Rose brought another dress that belonged to a maid. She was worried to hear what happened and soon went back to her duties in the kitchen. She was appointed to serve food for my father.

I went back to his chamber. I don’t know why and I am confused about this on-and-off Mate sound echoing in my head, and what was that his tongue slipping the word mate! My entire body tingled when he said the word. I knocked on the door for few times and finally, he opened the door.

“What?!” He barked like a dog and as soon as he saw me his eyes locked with mine and his lips parted. By all his gestures I understood that he didn’t expect my return.

“I came to complete my duties!” I started the conversation when I realized that he had forgotten his words to speak.

“Huh! I thought you would take a day off” His voice made a mocking sound.

“I do my duties with all my heart. Now, if you please excuse me, I have to fill the bathtub” He looked from top to bottom and moved away from the door.

“If you are surprised about the dress, Rose brought me an extra one. She said that your Gamma had a kind heart” I walked towards the bathroom.

When I was reaching the bathroom, the two mistresses were filling the tub, and when they saw me their eyes enlarged.

“Thank god you came back. Fill this, we have to take a bath with the king” The one who squeezed my wound with her toes threw the bucket towards me, but I failed to catch it.

“What did I ask you two to do?!” I thought my eardrum was cracked by his angry roar.

My god! For what did he angry so much with his mistresses?

“Forgive us, my king!” They were trembling in fear. I was a little surprised because the three of them slept last night enjoying their lustful bodies and now he was roaring at them.

“You, prepare my bed first and then clean the room until they fill the tub. They will do all the heavy work until you get well” This was the surprise of the day. the heartless Alpha king was showing some mercy on me.

Don’t fall for his tricks Theodora, he must have motives behind this. I mentally said.

I didn’t reply. I walked towards the bed to make it. The large bedsheets and duvets were scattered all over the bed and some fell on the floor revealed about their pleasurable night. It was disgusting for me to see that a man was sleeping with two women. I am sure that he has slept with countless women to calm down his burning desires.

“Don’t worry, if you behave like a good girl my princess, you will get an opportunity to use that bed!” I was in a deep thought when he suddenly whispered to my ear so close.

I was startled and fell on the bed, and while falling I looked for something to catch to prevent me from falling. Unfortunately, my hands caught his muscular body and we both fell onto the bed making him top of me!
