Chapter 6
Within the week, Mick had procured a ride-on mower, but as a tractor was an enormous expense and not an essential purchase, Benjamin instructed Mick to hire one instead. Mick had also demolished the old shed, much to the consternation of the rapidly growing chicks in the coop beside it, and had started to rebuild a larger shed which would eventually accommodate the new lawn mower as well.
Within the month, the shed had been finished and painted. Mick had even installed shelves and small ramp at the door so the lawn mower could be ridden down onto the lawn. The chicks were starting to look more like hens and Sasha had found several places she liked to snooze, depending on what else was happening around her.
