Nightly walks turned out to be an ideal way to clear his head and get some important exercise. He continued to take his favourite route, down along the river, but every once in a while he walked around the streets of suburbia, catching glimpses of people in their homes through living room windows. These were also busier streets, populated with early evening joggers and dog walkers, and although they had every right to be doing what they were doing, they often disturbed his peace.
