The first impulse Mia should have felt is to regret her decisions but she didn't. Her mind was only occupied with how she'll break the news to her parents yet again. They didn't deserve it. So she concluded she'll have to wait a little bit longer before breaking the egg.

"You really are what you are, girl. How did you resign and not even tell your office bestie"
"Cause I knew you talk me out of it. I have had it enough Si"
"Enough is not enough until you secure Simon future girl. Didn't you think of that?" He was concerned.
"I did not as a matter of fact. Ann and I will do just fine don't worry about us"
