Chapter 6: Dinner

Little girl? He called me a little girl! I know I am just a teenager and he is older than me, but, how can he call me a little girl?

Yes, he is older than me, but not that old! So it is not about the age gap!

So I looked in the mirror as I examine myself in the mirror in front of me.. I don’t look like a little girl! My body is well developed and it can never be mistaken for a little girl’s body!

I was even branded as a SIREN and TEMPTRESS in one of my Fashion Show in New York!

So how can he call me a little girl?! Is my body not enough for him?!

I stood 5’8, so I think I should my height should not be considered as ‘Little’! My height is fine! I am not that tall but definitely not little!

Ugh! This is so frustrating!

“Ms. Patridge, it’s your turn.” The coordinator suddenly appeared in my room.

“Ohh.. Okay, I’ll be there in a minute.” I said as I grabbed my phone to tell my assistant that it is my turn already.

I am doing a final rehearsal for the CATWALK tomorrow and once the Fashion week is over, I will have to do some commercials and photoshoot for some brands and a contract signing for a new movie. Once that hectic schedule is over I will be enjoying my one month vacation!

Yes! One month! I have been working continuously for almost a year, the only break that I had is the few days I spent in my Villa at L.A., so I asked my Manager, to give me a one month break, which she allowed thank goodness! Or else I don't know if I can still work and function well, I am so busy and tired. I just want to rest!

So I finished the rehearsal while trying so hard not to think about Soul, or I might stagger on stage and that is a No No! So instead of thinking about him, I just walked flawlessly on stage while telling myself that I look good and I look like a real adult!

And they said that time flies when you are busy. And I am happy that I am busy because I don’t have time to think about Soul! But now that I am finally free with my schedule and got nothing to do but rest, I suddenly remembered him, and that ruined my day and made me so sad.

“So you are telling us, that you got a thing with the infamous SOUL LACHLAN MACDERMOTT and yet he rejected you, the famous ISOBEL-“

“He did not reject me! He just-“

“Darling, based on your story, he did! Just in a low-key way.” Elizabeth said and Cherie shrugged like the two of them are both agreeing on the same thing.

I looked away after I swallowed hard. They are right, but I just can’t accept it! This is the first time I met someone who doesn’t show interest in me! and worse, REJECTED me just like that!

“Ohhh come on, don’t be sad!” Cherie said before she threw a pillow on my face.

We are in a hotel for our slumber party which we often do if we are all free. This is how we usually bond since we cannot just go anywhere we want without attracting too much attention, plus, the Paparazzi are everywhere!

“Should I be happy then? That I got REJECTED?” I asked sarcastically and they both giggled.

It’s like they are so happy that I got rejected!

I rolled my eyes at them.

Elizabeth pulled me into a hug.

“Well..who knows? Maybe he just rejected you because he doesn’t know you yet! But If he will know you well, then maybe he will like you back!”

“So what are you suggesting?” I asked when she let me go.

Elizabeth turned to look at Cherie and they both grinned like an i***t as if there’s something going on with their minds.

“Let me help you with that!” Cherie said looking so proud of herself. She stood up and grabbed her phone from the bed and excused herself.

“What are you two planning?” I asked Beth but she just gave me an evil smile.

I sucked my breath. I don’t like this, I feel like they are planning something that I would not like!

Okay, I am taking back what I have said!

Their plan is awesome! I love it!!

It is so fortunate that Cherie has lots of boyfriends! Who would have thought that her new boyfriend is the closest friend of Soul!

Jesther De Martini is Soul’s one and only best friend! They have been friends since they were still a little boy!

What a small world right?!

And Cherie, being the girl who gets what she wants, told Jesther that he needs to invite Soul to a dinner! We will do a double date! Actually, it is triple since Elizabeth will come with us, so Jesther has to bring another friend.

And since Jesther seems so crazy with our girl Cherie, He can’t just say NO to her. He will do everything to please her, and make her stay with him!

I wanted to hug Cherie because of her bright idea! I never thought that this will happen! And it is all thanks to her!

“Someone has been smiling since a while ago.” Elizabeth teases me as we walk through the restaurant.

Jesther was able to book to a restaurant owned by his friend so we were able to get a private room for us.

“You mean, someone seems to be sooo happy?!” Cherie said in a singsong voice that made us all laughed.

“Oh my gosh! Of course! I am happy! And… excited!” I told them that made them giggled.

“Don’t look too excited Darling, or you’ll be too obvious!” Cherie said before she winked at me.

I nodded as I tried to bit my lip to stop myself from smiling.

We tried to behave as we entered the room. The guys are already there and seem to be talking about something so serious. Jesther is sitting in between Soul and the other guy whom I don’t know who but he looks also hot. Our eyes met and he gave me a smile that almost made me gasped when I saw his cute dimples. He looks familiar but then I know we haven’t met anywhere yet. I gave him a small smile before I turned to look at Soul who seems to be watching me closely.

His eyes are dark and he seems to be in a foul mood, his jaw clenched when our eyes met.

I pouted.

Why does it feel like he doesn’t want to see me?

As we sat on our chairs, Jesther maid introductions, the guy beside him is his college friend and surprisingly he is a Model.  That’s why he looks familiar!

“Have we met before at a Fashion Show?” I asked excitedly.

Calum gave me a cute smile before he shrugged.

“I saw you many times, but we were never been introduce before so you don’t know me..but I know you.” He said that made my eyes wide.

“Well, who doesn’t know you? Whether in the Movie industry or Fashion Show, your name is always on top.” He continued before he gave me again his smile that can make your knees weak!

“Ohh..” I said, not able to answer him properly because I feel a bit shy with his compliment.

“Aren’t we going to eat yet?” a voice cut our eye contact. I turned to look at Soul who looks so annoyed.

“Let’s eat so we can all go home, I am a busy person, time matters to me,” he said while glaring at me.

What did I do?! I sighed and just look down at my plate.
