I lay back on the beautician’s table, silently cursing Jackie as I grit my teeth through another wax strip removal.
Since I arrived at this faction of the free moon pack, Jackie had become the sister in law she had promised to be. She was only three years older than myself, meaning we had a lot of common interests. I had felt slightly apprehensive about the age difference between myself and Gray at first, but knowing that she and Terry had a similar gap reassured me that, if this was how the moon goddess had planned it, then it wasn’t anything to be ashamed of in our community.
