15 years later…
As hard as I tried, I couldn’t treat this angel the way Jeff and Terry treated the other two children, Jeff using his chosen as a punching bag and Terry had only been able to raise the boy for a matter of years before he abandoned him.
The young lad had an uncanny resemblance to the young prince he blamed himself for killing. Terry couldn’t stand staring at the face of someone who reminded him of the accidental death he had inflicted, so he had dropped him in the territory of a pack he was passing through, before returning to our previous pack.
Of course, after the attack on the kingdom, the pack had been disbanded. The king had declared even the innocent of the pack were now to be classed as rogues, and told them to blame their alpha for their misfortunes.
