Alex’s POV
It’s been a week since Christmas and I was happy to steal kisses from Zoe whenever I liked. Breaking that barrier felt great. I had a feeling that when we finally mated it would be fiery. Each kiss, even a short one made my lips sizzle from her passion. Long kisses just made me want more of her. I had never found a she-wolf that was so hard to step away from. Holding back was torture.
Zoe and I were currently sitting in my office while I went over some data sheets from one of the research facilities. She was reading a book on the couch in silence when I noticed Landon slip past my open office door to go to his office.
“I’ll be right back, Love,” I told her as I got up from my chair.
