Kunal's Birthday

PRISHA'S POV

I wore a beautiful mid-thigh sleeveless baby pink dress with light makeup and silver diamond-studded wristwatch which dad gifted me on my 18th birthday. I didn't wear any jewelry to look overdressed for the party. It was 7.30 when I got ready and now its time to get Yuvi ready for the party. I went to Yuvi 's room but it was all dark.

"Yuvi? Where are you? Why the lights are off ?" I said searching for the switches to switch on the lights.

"Yuvi? Why are you sitting in a dark room? What happened? Tell me." I asked all panicked.

"Nothing I wanted to be alone for some time." He replied looking down.

"What happened tell me. Tell me baby what's bothering you." I asked him again stroking his cheeks.

"I don't want to go to a party." He said in a frustrated tone

"OK, but can I ask why?" I asked him calmly 

"I hate Kunal"

"And why you hate him?" I was curious now.

"Because mom dad loves him more than us. I feel like I am adopted they don't love me at all and they don't love u also." He answered in a frustrated tone.

"It's not true baby who is putting all this in your small head," I asked him.

"No one is putting anything in my head. Everything in this house is about Kunal. No one even loves you I am not sad for me only I am sad for us."

"It is not like that baby you are getting everything wrong. They love us "

"Don't baby me and no they don't." He said in an angry tone.

"Okay, I am gonna tell you a story but promise me you won't tell anyone," I said sitting beside him.

"Okay promise"

"There was a small girl who was alone and was roaming on the street eating from the dustbin and leftover of people no one was helping her or giving her money she was living a miserable life and then one day when she sleeping on the street someone came and kidnapped her they were going kill she somehow ran away and then suddenly came in front of a car. There was a couple inside a car who came running towards her they took her to the police station and then they adopted her and made her their daughter."

"Wow, that was a lovely story that girl is so lucky. She got rescued " Yuvi said getting excited.

"Yup she is indeed lucky but what do you think about the couple?" I asked him.

"They are very good people they must have loved that girl so much that they took her to their home," He said.

"You know who are they," I asked him

"How am I supposed to know di? Do we know them?" He said getting confused.

"Yes, we do. They are our mom and dad" I told him.

"Yuvi was giving me confused look then I noticed his shocked expression. I know he understood who is that girl."

"Yes Yuvi that couple is our parents and that girl is me. I am not your real sister." While telling him I got filled with tears.

"NO. You are lying to me that's not possible. You are my sister and you will always be my di " He said all of sudden hugging me.

Of course, I am your sister silly and this truth cannot be changed and why are you crying even if we are not blood-related I will be always your sister and you will be always my brother. Nobody in this entire world can separate us.

"You will never leave me right." He said sobbing

"No dear I will never leave you alone but now you do understand right that mom dad loves you they love us because if they can shower so much love on me when I am not even blood related then think how much they love you. It's just that they love Kunal also because they never got a chance to show him how much they love him and we are not sure whether we will have this chance in this life or not. Are you getting me, baby." I said wiping his tears.

"Yes. Now I will never say anything like that." He said getting up from his bed.

"Good. remember never tell mom and dad that you know the truth. Now you are dressed so we should leave for the party. Mom dad must be waiting for us."

VIKRAM'S POV

"We reached the venue on time but I didn't find prisha and yuvi and I started panicking then I called prisha to know about them.

"Prisha where are you guys?" I asked.

"Behind you dad." prisha said

"I turned around and saw them coming towards us and then all of sudden Yuvi ran leaving prisha's hand and hugged my and Pragya's leg."

"What happened, son?" I asked him

"Nothing dad I just love you both so much," he said still hugging us 

"We love you too baby," Pragya said.

"come on let's go inside now everyone is waiting for us," I said and then we all proceeded inside.

KARAN'S POV

"So are we signing this deal ?" I asked the investor.

"Yes, Mr. Mehra. We are signing this deal right now. We know you are flying back tonight we won't take much of your time." Investors replied

After signing the deal I was sitting in my cabin alone and thinking about that couple I met today. I felt some kind of connection with them. I wanted to spend some more time with them but I restricted myself to not do such a thing and then when she called my name and invited me for the birthday party my heart was screaming yes but I declined their offer. I don't know why I am feeling all this I remember her eyes she was so sad when I declined her offer and left from there. My thoughts stopped when someone knocked on my door.

"come in"

"Sir, car is arranged you should leave for the airport right now" My assistant replied.

"Cancel that flight I need to go somewhere urgently. Book early morning flight for tomorrow" I replied and got up from my chair wore my jacket and left for Palm Olympia. I need to meet them before going. 

PRISHA'S POV

Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you Happy birthday dear Kunal. Happy birthday to you. Everyone was clapping and cheering when Yuvi cut the cake although it was not his fruity pokemon cake he wanted to cut it was the simple vanilla cake he didn't create any fuss like he usually creates. We all had dinner together and I noticed that mom was not eating and she kept looking at the entrance like she is waiting for someone special. I was about to ask her but yuvi interrupted.

"Di I want to go home I am really sleepy now. Can we please leave I have school tomorrow." yuvi asked me rubbing his eyes to stay awake

"Okay let me tell dad that we are leaving." Salman bhai is at door go and sit with him in a car I am coming. I told him gesturing towards Salman bhai. 

"Okay," he said and then left.

"Dad we are leaving. Yuvi is really sleepy I am taking him home."I said 

"You are not going to meet Aman he said he will be here in half an hour," Dad said seeing his wristwatch.

" No dad he said he is having some issue in his company so he will not be able to make it today" I replied.

"Okay, dear. just give me a call when you reach. we will reach home around 1 am I guess." dad said.

"Sure dad. Bye," I said and then left.

As I left the party, the electricity went away and my phone was off because the whole evening Yuvi was playing the game on it. So I kept walking in the dark and bumped into someone.

In a moment of panic, I clutched his collar for support and he held me by my waist, we were face to face and so close that our breath mingled, his grip around my waist tightened and my breath quickened.

A voice came from distance " prisha". Salman bhai was coming in our direction holding a flashlight in his hand but he was still far from where we were. It was too dark that we couldn't see each other faces.

He quickly made me stand and I was about to thank him but he disappeared in the dark.

"Prisha let's go our car is there '' Salman bhai said reaching to me and then we left the place.
